AppVerifier BG verifies that installed Android apps match their expected signing certificate fingerprints. Compare an app's signing hash against shared text, an internal database synced from Privacy Guides, or your own user database. Hashes are checked for valid SHA-256 format — when verification fails, they're labeled "Expected" vs "Found" so you can tell which is which. Apps signed with debug certificates are flagged as insecure. ZIP files containing a base APK are also accepted.

App List

Every installed user app shows status icons for internal database matches, user database entries, clipboard verification, and shared text matches at a glance. Sort by name, database status, debug builds, clipboard verified, or shared text — pick whichever you need from the dropdown, and it only shows modes with matching data. A filter chip hides everything except mismatches. The default sort order can be set in settings. Search by name or package name. Long-press an app with a user database entry or clipboard checkmark to remove it individually.

Internal Database

Built-in database of verified app hashes synced from privacyguides/verified-apps, updated with each build. The database download is verified against GitHub attestations before every build.

Combined Database Status

See internal and user database results side by side on the app list and verification screen. A setting lets you choose between both, internal only, or user database only.

User Database

Save verification info for later. Add entries individually from the verification screen or bulk-add from shared text. Supports import and export in JSON, text, and YAML formats (auto-detected on import, choose on export). Import lets you combine with existing entries or replace them, and shows a summary of what changed. Entries can be removed individually by long-pressing the app in the list, or removed in batch from selection mode.

Shared Text

Share verification info for several apps at once. Multiple entries separated by blank lines are accepted on receive. Shared text with multiple entries filters the app list to show matching apps only, with icons indicating hash match status. Bulk-add all verified matches to your database from the filtered list. AppVerifier also handles ACTION_SEND and ACTION_VIEW intents so you can share text or APK files directly from other apps.

Clipboard Verification

Verify from clipboard with a single button on the startup screen. Successful clipboard verifications add a blue checkmark in the app list. The checkmark can be toggled on or off in settings and cleared separately. Individual checkmarks can be removed by long-pressing the app in the list.

Share All Apps

Share every installed app's verification info as text from the settings screen.

Reproducible Builds

Release builds use SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH and deterministic R8 so the same tag always produces the same APK.

It reads weather data directly from Breezy Weather's internal database (using a secure Content Provider).
It processes current conditions, detailed metrics (UV, Humidity, Wind, etc.), and forecasts.
It pushes that data to your connected Wear OS device instantly.

Installation & Setup

Breezy Weather: Ensure you have Breezy Weather installed and configured on your phone.
Permissions: When you first open this sync app, tap "Fetch & Sync". It will request permission to read data from Breezy Weather.
Watch App: Ensure the companion app is installed on your Wear OS watch to receive and display the data.
Optimization: For reliable background syncing, it is recommended to disable "Battery Optimization" for this app so Android doesn't kill the background sync service.

How it works

The Phone App: Displays a preview of the data being synced and the "Last Synced" timestamp so you know your watch is up to date.
The Service: Runs a START_STICKY background service that listens for system changes and handles the communication with Google Play Services Wearable API.
Data Privacy: This app does not have internet access. It only reads data locally from one app on your phone and sends it locally to your own watch.

Recents is a replacement for the default system "recent apps" menu, especially useful if the system utility is unavailable (e.g. after removing the default launcher). It aims to provide all the system features, including launching the last launched app, displaying all apps by last use time and killing selected or all apps.

How to use

Launch "Recent apps" screen Assign the app to a custom shortcut (e.g. double-click of the power button) in your system settings. Upon triggering the shortcut, you will be shown a list of all your apps, sorted by last launch time. Alternatively, you could simply place the app in a convenient spot in your launcher.
Launch last app The app includes a custom shortcut, which (or its activity, LastAppActivity) can also be assigned to a custom shortcut, using any shortcut assigner. If you trigger the shortcut, you will be taken to the most recent app (excluding launchers and the current app), just like when double-tapping the "recents" button on a 3-button navbar.
Kill apps (Shizuku or root required) If you have Shizuku or root access, you may retain the functionality of killing apps. You can either kill apps individually, or use the "KILL ALL" button. Note: some system apps cannot be killed this way.
Setup your custom whitelist Don't want to show a bunch of OEM bloat on the list? Don't want to kill your alarm clock? Don't want to launch an app even if it was the last one launched? Mark them in settings as non-showing, non-killable or non-launchable.
Display running apps (Shizuku or root required) You may toggle between a full list of installed apps or just the running ones in settings. Bear in mind that "running apps" are defined by having an active task, which may be a bit different to how the system "recent apps" screen treats them.
Pin apps You may pin selected apps above the list. They will stay there regardless of their recency or their running status. Pinning an app doesn't mean that it's gone from the actual list and doesn't affect the "launch last app" functionality.
Quick actions Upon holding a list item you can display a list of quick actions, including:

Lockscreen Widgets

A (very) long time ago, Android introduced a feature to allow you to show certain widgets on the lock screen. For some reason, this useful feature was removed with the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop, confining widgets to the home screen only.

While some manufacturers, such as Samsung, have brought back limited versions of lock screen widgets, you’re usually limited to the widgets the manufacturer has already created for you.

Well, no more! Lockscreen Widgets brings back the functionality of yore, with some extra features. Note that Lockscreen Widgets is not designed to function on the Always-On Display.

Lockscreen Widgets appears as a paged "frame" on top of your lock screen.
Add a widget by tapping the plus button in the frame. This plus button will always be the last page.
Each widget you add gets its own page, or you can have multiple widgets per page.
You can press, hold, and drag widgets to reorder them.
You can press and hold widgets to remove them or edit their size.
Tap the frame with two fingers to enter the editing mode where you can resize and move the frame.
Tap the frame with three fingers to temporarily hide it. It will show up again once the display turns off and back on.
Any home screen widget can be added as a lock screen widget.

Lockscreen Widgets also includes an optional Widget Drawer!

Widget Drawer has a handle you can swipe to bring it up from anywhere, or you can use the Tasker integration or shortcut to open it however you want. The drawer is a vertically scrolling list of widgets that can be resized and moved the same way as in the Lockscreen Widgets frame.

And this is all without ADB or root! All the basic privileges can be granted without even thinking about using a computer. Unfortunately, with Android 13 and later, you may need to use ADB or Shizuku to enable Masked Mode.

On the topic of privileges, these are the more sensitive permissions that Lockscreen Widgets needs to function:

Accessibility. In order to display on the lock screen, Lockscreen Widgets’ Accessibility Service must be enabled. You will be prompted to enable it if needed in the initial setup, and any time you open the app.
Notification Listener. This permission is only required if you want the widget frame to hide when notifications are displayed. You will be prompted if it’s needed.
Dismiss Keyguard. In order to improve the user experience, Lockscreen Widgets will dismiss the lock screen (or show the security input view) when it detects an Activity being launched from a widget, or when you press the "Add Widget" button. This will not compromise your device’s security in any way.

Lockscreen Widgets only works on Android Lollipop 5.1 and later because the necessary system features for displaying on the lock screen didn’t exist in Lollipop 5.0. Sorry, 5.0 users.

Uncomplicatedly simple: if you manage your long, complicated and secure passwords in a password manager app (like KeePassDroid) on your Android device, you can now "type" them easily on any other device, be it a phone, tablet, or PC running Windows, Linux, or macOS.

sub rosa allows you to program the static password of your YubiKey which then can be used to "type" the password with the touch of a finger.

Once you are done "typing" your long, complicated and secure password, remember to wipe clean your YubiKey... Is not much security if anyone can "type" your password by touching the YubiKey!

Wie es funktioniert

Die App analysiert alle möglichen Teilstrecken einer Verbindung und findet durch dynamische Programmierung die günstigste Kombination von Tickets, die die gesamte Strecke abdeckt. Dabei werden auch Rabatte durch BahnCard und Deutschland-Ticket berücksichtigt.

Wichtiger Hinweis zur Funktionsweise: Diese App nutzt keine offizielle API der Deutschen Bahn. Stattdessen simuliert sie die Abfragen, die ein Browser an bahn.de senden würde, um die nötigen Fahrplandaten und Preise zu erhalten. Da für die Analyse vieler möglicher Teilstrecken eine große Anzahl von Anfragen notwendig ist, würde ein zentraler Server (z.B. eine Webseite) sehr schnell von der Deutschen Bahn blockiert werden. Um dies zu vermeiden, sendet jede Installation der App die Anfragen direkt von Ihrem Gerät. Dadurch verteilt sich die Last auf viele individuelle Nutzer, und die Funktionalität kann erhalten bleiben. Es gibt daher auch keine Webseiten-Version dieser App.

Network Survey

The Network Survey app enables logging cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and/or GNSS information to a log file (GeoPackage or CSV format). For cellular records it supports logging GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, and NR records.

You might receive an alert from anti-malware software indicating that Network Survey sends SMS messages in private manner to deceive users. This is NOT the case. SMS permission is necessary for some of the logging that is done. Just to be clear though, Network Survey does not send any text messages, nor does it install anything. In fact, you can deny all the SMS permissions if you are not using the CDR (call detail record) logging feature. The SMS permissions are only requested the first time you turn on CDR logging. This app has the ability to access your device's location in the background. The background location permission is needed to start Network Survey at boot. You can deny this permission if you don't want to start Network Survey at phone boot. The cellular logging feature logs several details about the current serving cell, and then some basic information about the neighbor cells. This app won't log all 5 cellular protocols at once. Instead, it will only log information about the protocols that are current connected. If logging for one specific protocol is desired, then the phone must be locked to that protocol (try using *#*#4636#*#* from the dial pad).

The cellular survey records can be streamed to either a gRPC server or a MQTT broker. This is not on by default and a gRPC server or MQTT Broker needs to be setup for this feature to work.

A bonus feature of this app is its ability to create a Call Detail Record (CDR) file. If enabled, CDR events are logged to a CSV file.

The app also has a calculator that converts an LTE Cell ID to the corresponding eNodeB ID and Sector ID, and a calculator that converts an LTE PCI to the corresponding Primary Sync Sequence (PSS) and Secondary Sync Sequence (SSS).

Fokus Launcher

Fokus Launcher is an Android launcher for people who want a simpler, cleaner default experience. It focuses on fast access to time, weather, and core apps with minimal visual noise.

Home Screen

The home screen is intentionally minimal: a large clock and date, battery status, optional weather, configurable favorite app labels, and a configurable right-side shortcut rail. Tap the clock, date, or weather to open the apps you configure for each in settings. Primary interactions are gesture-based: swipe up to open the app drawer, swipe down to expand the notification shade, and swipe left or right to launch shortcut targets.

App Drawer

The drawer supports quick search, categories you define in settings, and optional alphabetical or most-opened app order. When only one app matches a search, Fokus can launch it directly. Optional category sidebar mode replaces the inline search bar with a vertical category rail; use the search icon when you need text search. Long-pressing an app offers add to home, rename, hide, and uninstall.

Dot search keeps you in that same field for web or in-app search. Type a period, a space, and your query, for example ". cats"; that searches in your browser by default until you change the default under Dot search in settings. For letter shortcuts, type a period, one lowercase letter, a space, and your query, for example ".a coffee" when you assigned the letter "a" there. Dot search settings also list search-capable apps and lets you add HTTPS or deep-link URL templates with a placeholder for the query.

Customization

Edit home apps, configure right-side shortcuts (including launcher shortcut actions), hide or rename apps, choose a custom font, and manage launcher data from the settings screen.

Weather

Weather is powered by Open-Meteo. No account or API key is required. Results are cached for 30 minutes. Location permission is optional and only used for local weather.

Work Profile

Work profile apps are shown alongside personal apps in the drawer when a work profile is active on the device.

Private Space (Android 15+)

On Android 15 and above (API 35+), Fokus supports Android's Private Space with lock/unlock controls and a separate section in the app drawer for private apps when the space is unlocked.

Optional Device Controls

These features only work if you turn on accessibility for Fokus in Android settings.

Double tap to lock can turn off the screen from empty home space. Return home after long lock can bring Fokus back to the foreground on unlock once the device stayed locked longer than a threshold you choose.

First-Run Onboarding

On first launch, Fokus walks you through welcome, optional location permission, default-launcher setup, home-screen customization, swipe-shortcut setup, and quick gesture tips.

Permissions

Fokus asks only for what it uses.

That covers uninstall flows from the launcher, internet access for weather and dot search, optional coarse location for local weather, and hidden-profile access for Private Space on supported versions. HOW TO USE

MY WIDGET DOES NOT APPEAR

The app consumes very little power and runs on the background when needed (to switch photos, for example). Because it's rarely being actively used, it can be stopped by Android as the system prioritizes the most used apps when trying to optimize the battery duration.

If you are facing this problem, remove any battery or memory restrictions from the app. You can also search for your device brand on https://dontkillmyapp.com and follow their instructions to improve the behavior of apps that mostly run on the background.

Some phones can prevent apps from starting themselves after restarting the device, making the widget can appear broken. If that's happening, you must grant permission for the app to "auto start" through your settings or security app.

PERMISSIONS

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — This permission is needed to restore widgets after a device restart. Some device manufacturers prevent this from happening, and you must manually allow it through the "auto-start" setting on your phone.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM (optional) — This is an optional permission that is needed if you would like to use shorter intervals to switch photos, ensuring that they follow the selected schedule exactly.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS (optional) — This is an optional permission that is needed to ensure that widgets are updated as expected in Android flavors that tend to kill apps that mostly run in the background.

Die Daten des PublicArtExplorer’s stammen aus den offenen Platformen OpenStreetMap und Wikipedia. Oksigenia SOS is an offline-first personal safety app for outdoor sports and high-risk environments. No account, no cloud, no Google Services required — everything runs on your device.

When something goes wrong, it sends an SMS alert with your GPS coordinates to your emergency contact. No internet connection needed.

Smart Fall Detection (Smart Sentinel)

The accelerometer monitors you continuously at high frequency. A sudden impact triggers an observation window. If sustained walking movement is detected during that window, the alarm is dismissed automatically — false positives from drops or normal jolts won't fire the SOS. If no rhythmic movement is detected, the SOS is sent.

Activity profiles

Pick the profile that matches what you're doing — Smart Sentinel adapts its sensitivity:

Trekking / Hiking: balanced default for walking outdoors.
Running (road): tuned for the sustained high-G cadence of road running, with an adaptive rhythm detector.
Trail running / MTB: higher impact threshold for terrain with constant vibration.
Mountaineering: longer observation window for slow recoveries on technical ground.
Paragliding / Kayak / Watersports: automatic fall detection is disabled (the sensor cannot reliably interpret flight or water motion); inactivity monitor and manual SOS remain active.
Professional / Rescue: extended observation window for advanced operational use.

Inactivity Monitor (Dead Man's Switch)

Set a check-in timer. If you don't confirm you're OK before it expires, the alert is sent automatically. Essential for solo adventures where a fall might leave you conscious but unable to call for help.

Live Tracking

Send your GPS position by SMS every 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Pause, resume or check in manually at any time — without stopping the monitoring session.

Dying Gasp

When the battery drops below 5%, a final SMS with your last GPS position is sent automatically before the phone shuts down.

About the permissions

Oksigenia SOS asks for sensitive permissions because its job is to call for help when you cannot. Each one maps to a single rescue function:

SMS: sends the alert. SMS is the only channel that works in the mountains without internet.
Location, including "Allow all the time" (background location): when you fall, your phone is in your pocket with the screen off and the app in the background. Without background access, Android can deny a fresh GPS fix at exactly that moment, and the SOS would leave without usable coordinates. Your position is read only when an alert or tracking update is being sent, and it travels exclusively inside the SMS to the contacts you configured — it is never uploaded anywhere. The app's only network use is a version check against a static file on oksigenia.com, which carries no personal data and no location.
Motion sensors / physical activity: fall and inactivity detection.
Battery exemption: so Android doesn't kill the monitoring service mid-route.

A safety app that prioritised permission minimalism over getting your coordinates to a rescuer would be failing at its only job. The privacy guarantee here is structural, not cosmetic: everything stays on the device.

ExoAirPlayer

ExoAirPlayer is an app you run on your Android set-top box. It plays video/audio URLs "cast" to it with a stateless HTTP API (based on AirPlay).

There is no UI when the app starts. It’s a foreground service with a notification, which runs a web server on port 8192. The IP address of the server is given in the notification message.

When a video URL is "cast" to the server, a video player opens full-screen. If the video player loses focus (ex: by pressing the "home" button), another notification is added to control playback or refocus on the video player window.

When an audio URL is "cast" to the server, the music plays in the background – even when the screen is off.

This page is the simplest way to send signals to a running instance. Though other "high-level" tools exist to capture media URLs from the wild (some are listed here). One of them is DroidPlay, which lets you cast content from another Android device to ExoAirPlayer.

Audio or video files/playlists can also be started directly from the Android file system, which makes this app a very suitable replacement for a general-purpose video player. This can be done locally on the same device, e.g. using a file manager like Total Commander: if you tap a media file there, it implicitly calls an intent ExoAirPlayer (and other installed media players) act upon – so a list of such apps open and you can chose from it. You can also use Total Commander to create playlists; see here for details.

The remote way to do this requires knowing the structure of the Android file system. In that case, rather than "casting" a URL.. you can "cast" a file or directory path (ex: /storage/sdb1/Downloads/my-video.mp4). This can be done with the website mentioned above.
