Pause adds a short, timed pause before you open the apps you choose. When you launch a selected app, the screen is covered by a panel with a countdown. Only after it finishes can you choose Open anyway or Cancel. It turns an automatic tap into a deliberate choice. It is friction, not a hard block.

The pause screen also shows how many times you have opened that app in the last 24 hours and when you last opened it.

Features:

* Timed pause: a short countdown before the app opens, with a length you choose.
* Per app: pick which apps get a pause; everything else opens normally.
* Open count: see how many times you have opened that app in the last 24 hours.
* Adjustable: set the pause length, a custom message, and whether the countdown is shown.

How it works:

Pause uses an Accessibility Service to detect when a chosen app opens and an accessibility overlay to draw the pause screen, so it needs no "draw over other apps" permission. An accessibility-based gate is best-effort, not a hard block: it is meant to make impulsive opens deliberate, not to be tamper-proof.

Check your phone first:

Recent Android versions may already do this. Android 17's Pause Point adds a built-in delay before selected apps on some Pixel and Samsung phones, and Digital Wellbeing offers app timers and Focus mode. If your phone has those, prefer them. Pause is for older devices, custom ROMs, and phones that ship without Google's Digital Wellbeing.

Night Drop is a privacy-first 1:1 messenger. Like a night deposit box: every message is a sealed envelope, dropped for one person only, opened by no one in between.

* Anonymous identities only — no phone number, no email, no account. Your identity is a keypair held on your device.
* End-to-end encryption with the Signal Double Ratchet: only the sender and receiver can read a message.
* Peer-to-peer over Tor by default. There is no clearnet path — the only network egress is the Tor network.
* Local-first storage: messages live on your device. Optional server storage is opt-in, capped at 24 hours, and shows a persistent warning in the chat while active.
* An untrusted store-and-forward relay carries offline delivery only. Any relay ever holds nothing but opaque, already-encrypted blobs under unlinkable handles — no keys, no plaintext, no identities, no logs.
* Authorization before the first message: a stranger cannot message you until you approve them (scan a pre-authorized QR, or exchange a short code whose secret words block a man-in-the-middle).
* Safety-number verification (scan or compare) to confirm no one is in the middle.
* User-owned encrypted backups: the recovery password is generated on your device, shown once, and never sent to any server. Lose it and the backup is unrecoverable — by design.
* No analytics, no crash reporters, no ad SDKs, no Google Play Services, and no third-party push service.
* No automatic update check on F-Droid installs. Other builds (sideloaded, or the desktop AppImage, which have no update channel of their own) ask the Night Drop onion site over Tor, at most once a day, whether a newer version exists — and only tell you. The app never installs anything, and does not hold the permission that would let it.

Night Drop is free software (AGPL-3.0-or-later) and built to be reproducible: anyone can rebuild the release from source and confirm it matches, byte for byte.

Tap anywhere to start and stop the timer. Press and hold while paused to reset the timer.
The timing of bells can be customised: Ring a bell at the first and last minute, one minute before the end, or disable them entirely. Press and hold the top bar in to trigger a bell, and to test the volume.
Landscape fullscreen mode makes the text extra large so it's easy to glance at while speaking.
Count up or count down.
Protected time is shown with a blue background, overtime is shown with a red background. There's a light and dark theme.
You can time speeches between 3 and 8 minutes, making this suitable for most formats, including British Parliamentary, Impromptu, and Asian Parliamentary.

The app asks for no permissions at all. There is no network access, no analytics, no accounts, no ads, and nothing to configure before you can use it. The whole clock is a single HTML file inside the app.

Features

- Large area with the remaining total time/delay time for this move. Tap on your half to end your turn and start your opponent's clock.
- Set the number of points to play for (1, 3, 5, 7, …, 29).
- Set the reserve time per point (e.g. 2 minutes or 3 minutes), in 15-second increments.
- Set the delay (free seconds every turn which don't carry over to the next turn), in 1 second increments.
- Choose 1 of 5 colour schemes.
- Turn sounds (for the turn change, when the delay runs out, and when the time runs out) on or off.
- Pause/play the clocks.
- Number of moves for this game and current score (when playing a multi-point match) are always shown.
- Once a game is done, click the score icon in the middle to set the score. The clocks stay at their current time.
- Adjust the clocks from the score sheet, if necessary.
- Press the reset button twice (within 2 seconds, so you can't press it accidentally) to reset the clock and scores and start a new match.
- Keeps running in the background, returns to the last known clock timings and scores after a crash or forced quit.
- The screen stays awake while you play.

Kopfhörer gehen irgendwann kaputt. Bevor sie es tun, beantwortet ylih die einzige Frage, die bei einem Paar wirklich zählt: Wie viele Stunden hast du mit ihnen verbracht?

Jedes Mal, wenn sich deine Kopfhörer verbinden, notiert ylih den Zeitpunkt. Jedes Mal, wenn sie sich trennen, notiert es ihn ebenfalls. Das ist die ganze Idee dahinter – und weil eine Verbindung nur aus zwei Zeitstempeln besteht, muss die App dafür nicht im Hintergrund laufen.

WAS ERFASST WIRD

• Gesamtstunden pro physischem Kopfhörerpaar. Wenn ein Paar kaputtgeht, mustere es aus – die Summe friert dort ein, und das nächste Paar desselben Modells beginnt als Generation 2 wieder bei null. Deine alten Zahlen vermischen sich nie mit den neuen.
• Jede Sitzung, dauerhaft gespeichert: Verbindungszeit, Trennungszeit und der Grund für das Ende.
• Wiedergabezeit (optional): wie viel von dieser Verbindungszeit tatsächlich Musik oder Ton lief, damit "um den Hals getragen" nicht als Hören zählt.
• Kosten pro Stunde, wenn du den Kaufpreis einträgst. Eine Zahl, der man gerne beim Sinken zusieht.

ZWEI TRACKING-MODI

Nur bluetooth – die Standardeinstellung. Nichts von der App läuft, nichts erscheint im Benachrichtigungsbereich, und es entsteht kein Akkuverbrauch, weil android Verbindungsereignisse auch bei geschlossener App an sie weiterleitet.

Detailliertes Tracking – optional. Fügt kabelgebundene und USB-Kopfhörer hinzu und misst Wiedergabe im Verhältnis zur Verbindungszeit. Dafür ist eine einzige stille Benachrichtigung mit niedrigster Priorität nötig, weil android Ereignisse einer Kabelbuchse nur an eine bereits laufende App meldet. Das, und nichts sonst, ist der Grund für diese Benachrichtigung.

Bluetooth wird in beiden Modi erfasst.

ZAHLEN, DENEN DU AUCH JAHRE SPÄTER VERTRAUEN KANNST

Langfristige Summen sind wertlos, wenn ein Absturz oder ein Neustart still zwölf Stunden hinzufügt. Deshalb:

• Eine Sitzung, die durch einen Neustart oder Absturz offen geblieben ist, wird beim letzten bekannten Lebenszeichen geschlossen – nie später als dem Moment, in dem das Telefon hochgefahren ist. Zeit, in der das Telefon ausgeschaltet war, wird nie mitgezählt.
• Sind deine Kopfhörer nach einem Neustart noch verbunden, beginnt eine neue Sitzung, statt die alte über die Lücke hinweg zu verlängern.
• Offene Sitzungen erhalten laufend ein Lebenszeichen, sodass der Schaden durch eine verpasste Trennung begrenzt bleibt.

VON NATUR AUS PRIVAT

ylih hat keine Internetberechtigung. Es gibt keine Konten, keine Analysen, keine Werbung und kein Tracking. Alles liegt in einer Datenbank auf deinem Telefon – vom Gerät kopieren kann sie nur Androids eigene Datensicherung, sofern du sie aktiviert hast.

Einstellungen → JSON exportieren schreibt deine gesamte Historie als lesbares JSON, und Importieren stellt sie wieder her – ein Wechsel auf ein neues Telefon kostet dich nie deine Zahlen.

BERECHTIGUNGEN

• Geräte in der Nähe (bluetooth): nötig, um Verbindungsereignisse zu empfangen und den Namen eines Kopfhörers zu lesen. Ohne diese Berechtigung kann bluetooth-Tracking überhaupt nicht funktionieren.

ADB, the same way the desktop scrcpy tool does.

The device running this app is the source; the target is any Android 11+ device

FAQ

Will an iOS version be available?
No. Due to technical limitations, iOS does not allow third-party apps to write to the SMS database.

Why export to SMS?
SMS is a universal, device-native format. By converting chat histories to SMS, you get a durable, open-standard backup that isn't locked into a single proprietary app.

Why the name?
The name stands for Instant Messenger to SMS. It reflects the app’s broad support for multiple IM platforms beyond just WhatsApp.

Can group chats be imported?
There is basic support for importing group chats, however, there are significant limitations due to how Android and apps like Google Messages handle the legacy SMS/MMS storage. At present, there is no way for third-party apps to programmatically set a group chat name in the system's SMS database that Google Messages will recognise, so the chat name will typically appear as a list of participant numbers. Additionally, a "Mass Text" warning may show if Google Messages cannot verify that all participants are using modern RCS (Rich Communication Services). To fully continue a group chat as a single thread, all members must be using RCS. Once everyone is on RCS, the group chat should automatically "upgrade" and function as a normal group thread.

Can I use IM2SMS to back up my existing SMS messages?
No. The core purpose of IM2SMS is to import Instant Messenger chat histories into the phone's SMS storage. Creating backups of existing SMS messages is already well-supported by other dedicated apps.

Why does the app have to be set as the default SMS app?
Android only allows the current default SMS app to write to the system's message database. To import chats, IM2SMS must temporarily become the default app. After the import process completes, opening the preferred messaging app provides a prompt to restore it as the default.

FreeProxy turns any SOCKS5 or HTTP CONNECT proxy into a system-wide VPN on Android.

Traffic from every app — or only the apps you pick — is captured by VpnService as raw IP packets, reassembled into TCP/UDP sessions in userspace, and forwarded through your upstream proxy. Apps with no proxy support of their own end up going through it anyway.

There is no NDK code and no bundled tun2socks binary: the TCP/IP stack is written in plain Kotlin.

Proxy credentials are stored unencrypted in the app's private directory (excluded from cloud backup). Per-app attribution in the log requires Android 10 or newer.

Terminator is a terminal emulator that offers comprehensive terminal emulation support with multiple session support that you can directly customize and control. Its main purpose is terminal emulation suitable for daily use. The main difference of Terminator is in the interface area: it comes with embedded terminal colors and a fully compact interface. It does not offer ready-made chroot/proot environment support; terminal tool infrastructure and other things are left to the user. It supports on Android.

Features

It comes with Material UI, supports all color matches, and the terminal applies it to its own color interface.

It has AMOLED black support, but there is no dynamic color in the terminal itself; it only comes with blue and black terminal colors. If you want to keep it simple or plain, just enter the RGB color code. Custom CSS terminal color support is also offered, for example it comes with the Nord theme.

It has multiple session support: you can create more than one session and choose default or favorite. After adding a session, there is file-based session or command-arg session support. In command-arg session you specify the executable file that should be spawned directly. If you are using root, you can activate the root session directly without using /system/bin/su, specify the entry path (the directory that will spawn as the starting directory), and the terminal can be started via the session you set as default. The file-based method works the same way: you can directly specify the directory to spawn by specifying the shell script file name and path, and run it with the entry path by activating the root session.

Resizing the terminal by text size, terminal width, or temporary session zoom is supported. Alpha is supported with terminal background transparency and background blur. There is font support: monospace, sans, mono, serif, and embedded fonts are available, plus special font support where you can add TTF/OTF fonts.

Bell sound is supported; you can choose custom or default system notification sound.

You can hide or show the status bar and title bar on screen. Horizontal landscape mode is supported, and you can use the terminal that way as well.

As keyboard, soft keyboard (tap to open/close terminal) and virtual keys are supported (as a key bar). As input mode:

Default — compatible with all IMEs, including CJK button strict terminal

Semantically correct — may break some IMEs

Legacy workaround — fixes Samsung keyboard echo, may break Gboard

CJK input is supported but default is recommended

3 types of terminal types are supported:

xterm256-color — recommended

WHY AGEPONY

A Hangul keyboard for developers and power users — for anyone who needs Esc, Tab, Ctrl chords, function and arrow keys on a phone, and a keyboard that behaves itself in a terminal.

It is small and asks for almost nothing. The APK is about 470 KB, most of that the Hanja tables, written in plain Java with no third-party runtime dependencies; the Hanja tables are memory-mapped straight out of the APK, so they cost storage rather than memory. It declares a single permission, VIBRATE — an ordinary permission, never requested at runtime, driving nothing but the buzz under your finger, which you can turn down to zero. No network, no account, no analytics.

And nothing is missing for it.

The keys other keyboards leave out

Esc, Tab, Ctrl, Alt, Meta, F1-F12, the arrows, Home and End, PgUp and PgDn, Ins, forward-delete and PrtSc, sent as real key events rather than as characters that look like them. Modifier chords the keyboard has no use for are handed to the app, so an editor's own shortcuts keep working, and a soft Ctrl plus a letter sends a genuine control code to a terminal.

Layouts

* 2-beolsik, the standard full Korean keyboard.
* 천지인 and 나랏글, the two 12-key phone layouts. Both compose the whole of Hangul, including every compound final — 많, 삶, 앉 and the rest. Two keys in the spare column turn the twelve keys into the phone keypad's digits or into the cursor cluster.
* QWERTY and Dvorak for English.
* A symbols page, a keypad with arrows and function keys, and a menu page for edit commands.
* The globe key walks the layouts you enabled, in the order you set.

Typing on twelve keys

천지인 keys can be dragged instead of tapped: a consonant key gives its plain letter to the left, its aspirate to the right and its tense letter downward, and a vowel key points at the letter it makes. Hold a key instead and a guide shows what is where, with the keypad digit in the middle. Nothing has to be waited out.

Hanja

Conversion in both directions with 훈음 glosses, paging and number-key selection, from a candidate window the width of the keyboard.

Physical keyboards

The on-screen keyboard hides itself when a hardware keyboard is attached, and hardware typing composes Hangul through the same 2-beolsik automaton. Ctrl, Alt and Meta chords reach the app rather than being swallowed. 한/영 and 한자 can be bound to keys of your choosing.

Made to suit you

* The keyboard's height is set as a share of the screen, from 1% to 50%.
* Height, the layout list and its order, the floating panel and its opacity are remembered separately for a screen held upright and one held sideways.
* Keys that can be held say so: an open ring in the corner while they are not, a filled disc while they are. Shift, Ctrl, Meta and Alt each arm for one key on a tap and lock on a hold.
* A half-width floating panel you can place where you like, as see-through as you like.
* Key-press feedback — highlight, vibration and sound — each adjustable to zero.
* Follows the system light and dark theme, and Material You where the device has it.

Old Android

Two builds ship from one source. The one on F-Droid is for Android 9 and newer. A build for Android 4.0 and newer is on the project's releases page; everything works there, and the README says which few things behave differently.

video title. The answer (year, title and artist) stays hidden behind a Reveal
button. For a fully spoiler-free experience, set NewPipe to open links in the

xlog2 is an amateur-radio (ham) logging application. This is its mobile
field-logging client: log QSOs (contacts) on your phone in the field and have
them appear on your desktop station automatically — and vice-versa.

The phone is not a separate logbook that you sync later. It is a third frontend
over the very same C++ core as the xlog2 desktop app, so it joins the identical
peer-to-peer sync mesh: a QSO logged anywhere gossips to every other node on the
network (desktop, headless xlog2-syncd, and other phones) over an encrypted LAN
mesh, with no central server and no cloud account.

An AMOLED-black, monochrome binary-clock Android home-screen widget.

It renders the current time and date as a 6×4 grid of dots. Cells that would otherwise go unused carry a couple of small extras: the device alarm state and a weather glyph. The aesthetic is deliberately austere — solid dots on true black, no chrome, no colour — so it disappears into an AMOLED wallpaper and sips battery.

How to read it

The face is a grid of rows (values) and columns (place values):

* Rows encode, top to bottom: hours, minutes, day (of month), month.
* Columns are binary place values: 32 · 16 · 8 · 4 · 2 · 1.
* A lit (solid) dot means that place value is on; an unlit dot is off. Add the lit columns in a row to read that row's number.

For example, a minutes row with the 32, 8, and 2 dots lit reads 32 + 8 + 2 = 42.

The cells not needed by the low-value ends of the shorter rows are reused to show the alarm state and a weather condition glyph.

Weather, network & privacy

Weather is off by default and opt-in: on a fresh install the widget makes no network or location calls, and no weather glyph is shown. Weather stays entirely dormant until you enter a weather server URL in the widget settings.

When you turn it on, weather uses the keyless Open-Meteo API. Tapping "Use Open-Meteo" fills in the public endpoint (https://api.open-meteo.com/), which is then contacted over the INTERNET permission to fetch current conditions and a short forecast. You can instead point the setting at your own self-hosted Open-Meteo instance — any http(s) URL is accepted.

With weather on, the widget also needs coarse location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) to fetch conditions for where you are. Location is read via the platform LocationManager only — there are no Google Play Services, no fused/Play location, and no proprietary SDKs. The coordinates are sent only to the weather server you configured, and only while weather is enabled.

Adjust mode lets you place the image: pinch to zoom, drag to move, and buttons to

swallowed, the screen is kept awake, and brightness goes to maximum so the image
shines through the paper.

Any volume key switches between the two modes, and the volume itself never

PaperTerm

PaperTerm is an SSH terminal built for e-paper devices such as the Onyx Boox range, where
screens redraw slowly and leave ghosting behind. It pairs the Termux terminal engine with a
pure-Java SSH client, and adds the details that make a terminal usable on e-ink.

It is a pure SSH client: there is no local shell and no local code execution.

Readable on e-paper
A dark-on-white ANSI palette keeps nvim, less and top legible instead of washing them out.
Ghosting was stress-tested with fast streaming output, large dumps, full-screen inversion,
repeated clears and TUI scrolling: the device's own EPD handling turned out to beat app-level
refresh calls, which caused keyboard flashing, so PaperTerm deliberately stays out of the way.

Page turning, e-reader style
Turn pages with the volume keys or on-screen triangles. Auto, Page-keys and Wheel modes let
editors and terminal multiplexers each behave the way they should.

Korean and CJK input
Composed syllables appear as they are finalized, without sending backspaces, so vim and other
full-screen apps stay safe. Latin text is sent immediately. Jamo can optionally be shown while
composing.

A keyboard row you control
The extra-keys row is fully customizable: a comma separates keys, a semicolon starts a new row,
and KEY=label sets the icon. Any other token is typed literally, so symbols or whole words can
become keys.

SSH essentials
Password and key authentication with a shared key store, known_hosts verification, keepalive,
reconnect after an unexpected disconnect, clipboard support including OSC 52, and per-host
environment injection so remote shells can switch to light themes.

Typography
Four bundled monospace fonts (CJK-capable by default), font import, and pinch-to-zoom sizing.

MetroMusic

MetroMusic looks and moves like the Music + Videos hub of Windows Phone 8, and it plays what is already on the phone. No account, no feed, no recommendations.

The collection is the start screen. The panorama you land on is the library — artists, albums, songs, genres, playlists, history and settings, in whatever order you put them. It is circular, so settings sit one swipe to the left of where you start and nothing is more than a swipe away.

Getting around a big library. Long lists group alphabetically and open the WP8 jump grid over both Latin and Cyrillic. Tapping a section header searches inside that section. A long press on an album, artist or genre plays it, queues it after what you queued before, or hides it — and hiding takes effect in every list at once. Album metadata is written into the tags inside the files, which is the only level where an edit sticks. Playlists, favourites, play counts and history stay on the device.

Playing. Media3 in a media session: notification, lock screen, headset and Bluetooth, and playback that outlives the screen. The queue and the current track come back after the app is closed, paused and at the start of the track. Apple Lossless is decoded inside the app, because Android ships no ALAC decoder and such files otherwise play as silence with nothing on screen to say so. Equalizer over the device's own bands, sleep timer, and a WP8 volume banner in place of the system panel.

Last.fm, if you want it. A play is written to disk with the second it started and sent when a validated network appears, so an hour underground turns up in the right order rather than as a burst on reconnection. Favourites can be kept the same as your loved tracks, in both directions. Albums whose files carry no artwork can be asked about once, and lyrics come from Genius. All of that is optional, switchable off, and none of it is needed to play the music on the device.

Twenty accent colours, light and dark, gestures that can each be turned off, and every string in strings.xml so a translation is one folder.

Privacy is the whole point, not an add-on:

* No network. The app has no INTERNET permission, so nothing can leak to a server. There are no analytics, ads, or crash-reporting SDKs of any kind.
* Encrypted at rest. Your entries live in an encrypted SQLCipher database and your photos are encrypted in the app's private storage — never in your gallery or any shared/cloud location.
* Locked behind your PIN. A 6-digit app PIN (separate from your phone's) gates everything, with optional biometric unlock. The app locks itself when it leaves the screen, and screenshots and the app-switcher preview are blocked.
* No backup leakage. The app is excluded from cloud auto-backup. The only way to move your data is the app's own manual, password-encrypted export.

TV Remote turns your Android TV into a self-hosted web remote that any device on your local network can control — phone, tablet, laptop — without installing any app on the controller device.

HOW IT WORKS

The app runs a tiny HTTP server (port 8080) directly on your TV. Open http://<tv-ip>:8080 in any browser and you get a full remote control interface. Input is injected via ADB loopback — the app connects to the TV's own ADB daemon at 127.0.0.1:5555, so no root is required.

NetToggle is a lightweight Android Quick Settings (QS) tile app for switching cellular network modes directly from Quick Settings. Many phones and carrier configurations hide or limit advanced network mode options, especially strict 5G/4G switching. NetToggle uses privileged shell access through Root or Shizuku to run Android telephony commands and apply selected network modes where supported by the device, ROM, modem, and carrier.

Send a secret without making the other person install anything.

Write a note, set the self-destruct rules, share one link. The note is
encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before anything is uploaded, and
it decrypts only in the recipient's browser. The decryption key travels in
the part of the link after the #, which browsers never send to any server —
so the server stores ciphertext it cannot read, plus a note ID, a view
count, and an expiry. No accounts, no names, no analytics.

WHAT YOU CONTROL
• Views: burn after 1 reading, or allow up to 100
• Expiry: 5 minutes to 30 days, changeable later, counted from now
• Optional passphrase, stretched with PBKDF2 and mixed into the key —
send it through a different channel than the link
• Auto-hide: the revealed note re-hides after a timer
• Read receipts, disclosed to the recipient before they reveal the note —
BurnPony does not do silent read tracking
• A private label for your own list; it never leaves your device
• QR code for in-person handoff: the whole link, key included, transfers
with no network at all

HONEST LIMITS
Whoever has the full link (and passphrase, if set) can read the note. A
recipient can always copy or photograph a note while it is visible.
Self-destruction limits future access; it does not control the moment of
reading.

OPEN
The app, the server, the viewer, and the wire-format specification are
open source (Apache-2.0), with cross-implementation test vectors shared
with the iOS app and the web viewer. Self-hosters can point the app at

BurnPony is part of the pony family of privacy tools: encryption you can
inspect instead of taking a developer's word for it.

Voxscribe - Offline Voice Input

Voxscribe is an offline voice-input keyboard (input method) for Android. Hold the mic button to record; your speech is transcribed entirely on-device with whisper.cpp using a Whisper model file you supply yourself, and the result is written into the focused text field.

Voxscribe is free software. It is published under the MIT open-source license. Voxscribe uses whisper.cpp for on-device transcription, which is also free software published under the MIT license.

SETUP

Voxscribe does not ship a speech model. You download one yourself and point the app at it.

Download a Whisper model file in GGML format from the Hugging Face repository ggerganov/whisper.cpp: https://huggingface.co/ggerganov/whisper.cpp/tree/main

Recommended files:
- ggml-base-q5_1.bin (~60 MB), the recommended default
- ggml-small-q5_1.bin (~190 MB), better quality but slower
- ggml-tiny-q5_1.bin (~32 MB), for older or weak devices
Use a multilingual model only. The .en (English-only) variants break both language modes.

Open Voxscribe, tap "Model file", and pick the file you downloaded.

Under "Setup", tap "Enable Voxscribe keyboard" and turn Voxscribe on in the system keyboard settings.

Under "Setup", tap "Microphone permission" and allow recording. You can also grant it the first time you hold the mic button.

In any text field, switch to Voxscribe with the keyboard's mic button or the system input-method switcher, then hold the mic button to record and release to insert the transcript.

The Whisper model stays wherever you saved it. The only permission Voxscribe requests is microphone access, needed to record your voice. Voxscribe does not hold the INTERNET permission. It cannot transmit data.

Navy Fleet Battle

Navy Fleet Battle is an Android version of Морской бой, the sea battle game played on squared paper across Russia for generations. It follows the classic Russian rules exactly, with no variants and nothing to configure.

Two ways to play:

- Against the computer
- Two players, passing one device between them

The rules:

- A field of 10 by 10 cells, ten ships, twenty cells of fleet
- Ships stand in straight lines and may not touch each other, not even at the corners
- A hit earns another shot, and the turn passes only on a miss
- Sinking a ship marks the water around it automatically, because no ship can stand there

Made to be handed to a child:

- Large boards and touch targets a small finger cannot miss
- Every shot is aimed first and fired second, so a stray tap costs nothing
- The outcome of a shot is revealed by its animation and never before it, on both sides of the board
- A sinking plays as two beats: the hit lands first, then the hull goes down
- The end of a game is shown as a picture as well as in words, so a child who cannot yet read still knows who won
- A hand-off screen between turns leads with a large player number, so the device changes hands without anyone reading anything
- Sound throughout, with a mute button on every screen that remembers its setting

Russian and English, changed with a button in the corner at any moment, including in the middle of a battle. The board is lettered in the alphabet of the language in use: А Б В Г Д Е Ж З И К in Russian, A to J in English.

Navy Fleet Battle is free and open source under the MIT licence. Every sound in it is a public domain recording. There are no adverts, no trackers, no accounts and no network access of any kind, and the app asks nothing of the system: no storage, no location, no camera, no microphone.

OMN-Go

OMN-Go is a self-hosted personal wiki and note application that uses Markdown. It runs a small local web server on your device and shows your notes in a browser-style interface. It needs no account, no cloud service, and no third party to keep working.

A note is a plain Markdown file with a small header block (title, date, tags). OMN-Go compiles each note to a static HTML page. You can read these pages and link between them with ordinary relative or absolute links.

Key features:

• Full Markdown editing, with the built-in editor or your preferred external text editor.
• Optional git synchronization over SSH, so the same notes stay up to date on every device that runs OMN-Go. OMN-Go shows each conflict clearly and gives you a manual merge or a safe pull or push.
• Optional LAN sharing, off by default. In the default state, OMN-Go answers only local connections. If you enable LAN sharing, other devices on your network can reach your notes over HTTP with a password. This is useful to read or edit from a second device without git synchronization.
• An embedded SQL database that note scripts can read and write directly. You can create a backup of its contents at any time. Git can track this backup, and OMN-Go saves it with your notes.
• Quick capture: a quick-note box that opens with one press, and a bookmark collector. Both work with the Android share-to-application function.
• The Tags page, which OMN-Go generates automatically. It indexes every note by its tags and works offline.
• On Android, a note can open a system settings screen or start another application. It can also run a Termux command. These links use an intent: URI, and the function is off by default.
• Math formulas (KaTeX, opt-in per page) and automatic syntax highlighting for fenced code blocks.
• Light, dark, and system-following themes.
• Material Design icons and small HTML/JS building blocks that you can put into any note.

OMN-Go also runs on the desktop. You can get the Linux and Windows builds at https://github.com/mvbasov/OMN-Go/releases - the same notes and the same interface. Optional git synchronization keeps a desktop device and a phone in step.

OMN-Go does not include ads, analytics, or trackers of any kind. It does not need an internet connection for day-to-day work with your notes. Git synchronization and LAN sharing are both optional.

OMN-Go installs on Android 6.0 and newer. The limit is the WebView and not the version of Android: OMN-Go needs a System WebView of Chromium 85 or newer. Android 6 ships Chromium 44, which is too old, but the "Android System WebView" component updates to Chromium 106 on that release. Update that component and Chrome first. When the WebView is too old, OMN-Go shows a line at the top of the page that names the version it found and the version it needs.

AI coding assistants did much of the development work on OMN-Go. They wrote code, refactored it, and drafted supporting documentation such as this listing. A human reviewed and directed this work.

Noppa Dice Roller

Noppa Dice Roller is a flexible dice rolling app for tabletop RPGs and tactical games.

Roll normal dice using notation such as 3d6+5, or different dice like:
- Multiple rolls: 4x 3d6 rolls 3d6 four separate times
- Zero-based dice: z10 gives values 0–9
- Keep highest: 5g6 rolls 5d6 and keeps the largest
- Keep highest with duplicates bonus: 5G6 like above but duplicates add +1
- Zero-mean dice: 4f1 rolls four dice each giving -1, 0, or 1
- Exploding dice: e6 rolls again on a 6

Modifiers let you add named bonuses (e.g. Skill, Strength) that can be toggled on or off. Tag modifiers to filter which ones apply to a given roll.

Save and load modifier sets and roll history for defaults and different game systems. Customize conditional ("exploding") dice rules using configuration files.

reteclock

An old Android phone in a drawer is still a perfectly good screen with a perfectly good clock in it. reteclock is for exactly that: plug the phone into a charger, put it on a stand, and it shows the time in large digits with the weekday and the date.

Old phones are hard to use for much else. Signing in to a Google account stopped working on Android 2.3.7 and older in 2021, Google Play services stopped shipping updates for Android 4.4 KitKat in 2023, and most apps now require a much newer Android. A phone that can no longer install anything can still show the time.

So reteclock asks for nothing: no account, no network, no runtime permission. It runs on Android 2.3 and newer, and it is built and verified against Android 4.4.

Features

* Full-screen 24-hour clock with seconds, weekday, month, day and year.
* Two layouts. Wide screen: a large HH:MM on the left, with seconds, weekday, date and year in a column on the right. Tall screen: hour and minute stacked, then the weekday with the date, then the year and the seconds.
* The hour and the minute are as large as the screen allows. Space is reserved for the smaller lines first and everything left over goes to the big time, so nothing is ever clipped. They arrive bold, and you can turn that off.
* Keeps the screen on while the clock is shown.
* Burn-in protection: the drawing moves a few pixels every minute, when the displayed minute changes anyway, and works its way around a wide disc over a couple of hours, so an OLED panel does not burn in.
* Starts when the charger is connected, and shows over the lock screen when started that way. This can be turned off.
* Works as a system screensaver (Daydream) on Android 4.2 and newer, and from a desk dock.
* Your own fonts. Add a font file and the clock draws in it — TrueType (.ttf), OpenType (.otf) or a collection (.ttc), with anything the device cannot read refused on the spot. The file goes through the system picker and is copied into the app, so reteclock still asks for no storage permission, and the font keeps working if you move or delete the original. Keep several: the settings screen lists each one's size and the total they occupy, and any of them can be deleted.
* A font for each field. The hour, the minute, the seconds, the weekday, the month and day, and the year each take their own font, and their own bold, italic and underline. Sizes stay worked out by the app.
* The clock does not fidget. Each field is sized from the widest text it could ever show, so 11:11 is drawn at the same size and in the same place as 88:88 and nothing shifts as the digits change.
* Your own pictures, in one pool. Each image is ticked as a background or as the text fill — the digits become a window onto it — or held on hand, unused; a select-all tops each column. The backgrounds take turns: an animated GIF plays through once, a still holds for a time you choose, one cross-fades into the next, and six fit modes cover every shape. The text images cycle on the same rules. Sort by name or date, rename (001, 002 … makes the name sort your order), arrange by hand, or select many and delete together.
* How much room the time takes is yours: two sliders — its share of the width in landscape, of the height in portrait.
* Your colours: the text and the background, each from a palette — and never the same colour, so the clock cannot vanish into itself.
* Settings, opened with a long press on the clock: show seconds, date format, colours, the fonts, images and sliders above, and start-when-charging.

Built small and plain

Java and the Android framework only. No AndroidX, no support library, no Kotlin runtime, no third-party dependency, a single classes.dex, and an APK well under 100 KB. The only permission is WAKE_LOCK, which is a normal permission and is never requested at runtime.

The name

rete is Latin for net, and -clock is just a clock. The intended pronunciation is the Latin one, RAY-teh. The English reading of the borrowed word, REE-tee, is fine too.

Tane (種, "seed"; from tanemaki 種まき, "to sow seeds") is a local-first, decentralized app for
keeping and sharing traditional seeds.

Every traditional seed is a letter written by thousands of generations, passed
from hand to hand. Tane helps people and seed-saver collectives keep a
friendly inventory of their bank, decide what they offer, and share it locally
— without a central intermediary that could control, censor, or be fined for
it.

MANAGE YOUR BANK

Tane only talks to them once you join the sharing part and agree to the
community rules. Before that it doesn't connect to anything, and messaging stays
switched off. Once you join, those servers see the key that stands for you and
the address your phone connects from — no name, no email, no account. Your seed
book itself is never sent anywhere.

You stay in charge of that list of servers. In the sharing setup you can switch
off any server on it, switch off every one of them — Tane then goes back to
being a seed book that never connects — or add the address of a different
server. Anyone can run a server of their own, and Tane works just as well with
it.

Tane is free software (AGPL-3.0). No ads, no commissions, no business model
— it exists to support traditional varieties and push back against the seed
monopoly.

Tideo Auto Brightness

You taught Android your brightness preferences and it is still wrong. Tideo
replaces the opaque on-device ML of stock adaptive brightness with deterministic,
inspectable math: a tunable lux-to-brightness curve you can see and shape, smooth
animated transitions, circadian (time-of-day) scaling, per-context overrides, and
an optional privileged "super dimming" mode that takes the screen below the system
minimum.

To use it, first disable the system's stock Adaptive/Auto Brightness
(Settings > Display), then launch Tideo, complete onboarding, and toggle the main
service on from the Dashboard.

Features:

* Three-zone perceptual brightness curve with a live, editable graph.
* Automatic curve fitting: adjust brightness by hand during normal use and, after
a handful of points across varied lighting, the wizard suggests a fitted curve.

* Profiles: five built-in presets plus save / overwrite / factory-restore and
JSON import/export.
* Live Debug scene: a glass-box readout of every runtime variable and decision.
* Emergency recovery: flip the phone upside-down and shake to force brightness to
max with an SOS vibration.
* Surfaces: foreground-service notification with actions, a Quick Settings tile, a
home-screen widget, and boot-start.

Privilege tiers:

The core pipeline is fully functional at the BASIC tier, which uses only the
user-grantable WRITE_SETTINGS permission. The optional ELEVATED tier unlocks super
dimming and requires a one-time WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS grant that YOU perform via
adb, Shizuku, or root. It is never granted automatically.

About the permissions Tideo requests:

* Background location and location: used only by the optional location-aware
context rules and the once-a-day sunrise/sunset refresh for circadian scaling.
* Usage access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): used only by per-app context rules to read
the foreground app; granted from a Settings screen, not a runtime dialog.
* Accessibility service: optional and presentation-only. It draws the debug/context
flash overlay system-wide. It does not read screen content and does not consume
input events. With it off, Tideo falls back to a foreground toast.

Privacy:

Tideo is local-first with no analytics, ads, or accounts. It makes one outbound
network request, and only as a last resort: if you opt in and enable circadian
scaling and no on-device location is available, it falls back to a single HTTPS
request to ipwho.is to estimate your city from your public IP. This fallback is off
by default and can be turned off under Circadian > Date & location. Automatic lookup
runs at most once per day, and the resolved coordinates are saved only on-device;
the user-triggered Use current location action can make an additional request after
on-device location fails. Everything else runs entirely on-device.

Tideo is a ground-up Kotlin/Compose rebuild of the Advanced Auto Brightness Tasker
project, ported with exact behavioural parity. It is not affiliated with Tasker.

Artwork is loaded from your own servers, which cache it, rather than from
sites like TheTVDB or TMDB. There are two exceptions, and both are worth
knowing about. Searching for something to add that your servers have never
seen has nothing cached for it yet, so its poster comes from the artwork site
directly, which then sees your address. And Tracearr's streaming-location map
draws its map tiles from CARTO, so opening that map tells CARTO your address
and roughly which part of the world you are looking at. Everything else goes
only to the servers you configure.

Mage is an Android GUI for age file encryption, built on kage (a Kotlin/JVM implementation of the age protocol). "Mage" is short for Mobile age. Mage is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by the age project.

Encrypt or decrypt files to age recipients or passphrases, including armor, multi-recipient, and encrypt-to-self. SSH keys (ssh-ed25519, ssh-rsa) work as recipients and identities alongside native age keys, and can be mixed on one file.

Identities are sealed in the Android Keystore (AES-256-GCM, StrongBox where available) behind biometric or device-credential authentication. Recipients get a small address book with QR encode/scan for sharing a public key.

Batch mode encrypts or decrypts more than one file at a time into a folder. Your identity vault can be exported and re-imported as an encrypted backup, so it isn't stuck on one device.

Mage hooks into the system where it makes sense: share-sheet targets, a .age file-manager association, launcher shortcuts, and a Quick Settings tile.

Mage does not implement its own cryptography — that is kage's job. It is not a general-purpose file manager or password manager, and it does not support the age-plugin mechanism, which relies on binaries on $PATH and does not work on Android.

Mage requests no network permission and makes no network connections.

Crystal Ball listens to your guitar and tells you what chord you just played. Press Detect single chord, strum, and it names the chord and draws how to fret it — with the chords it nearly picked instead one tap away, and other ways to play the same one further up the neck. Capture a whole part and it becomes a song sheet you can keep, correct and share.

Early-stage release — expect rough edges. Feedback and bug reports welcome via Issues.

Features:

* Detect a chord by ear — press, strum, done. It listens until the answer settles rather than for a fixed time, so a clean open chord resolves in about a third of a second; strumming again restarts it, so a bad take needs no second press.
* Ranked alternatives — the best fit is a guess, not ground truth, so the runner-ups sit under it and one tap swaps the page over to any of them.
* Chord shapes, not just names — the most idiomatic grip drawn large, plus other voicings walking up the neck. Open shapes are the ones a player expects to see, by name.
* Capo-aware — detection is unaffected (the microphone hears the real chord either way), but the shapes are redrawn behind the capo, fret numbers stay as printed on your neck, and anything the capo pushes off the end is dropped rather than offered. Chords can be named by what you hear or by the shape your hands make.
* Song sheets — capture a part chord by chord, name it Intro or Chorus, reorder the parts, and read the whole song back as diagrams. Parts can be renamed, chords fixed by hand without playing them again, and the finished sheet shared to any app.
* Chord dictionary — look any chord in the vocabulary up by hand, without playing a note.
* English and German — pick the app's language without changing the whole phone. German note names (H/B) are a separate switch, since being taught H is not the same as reading German.
* Session comforts — System/Light/Dark themes, keep-screen-on, an optional capo prompt at launch, an in-app quick help sheet, and backup/restore for your songs. Preferences persist across launches.

Vocabulary: maj, min, dom7, maj7, min7, sus2, sus4, across all 12 roots. Shapes assume standard tuning (EADGBE).

Honest about accuracy: template matching on clean triads is good, and degrades on a boomy room, a badly tuned guitar, or a phone held across the room. It is a practice aid, not ground truth — hence the runner-up row, which is one tap from correcting it.

Microphone access is required — listening to your guitar is the whole app. Audio is analysed on the fly and never recorded, stored or sent anywhere; the app has no network permission at all.

No ads, no trackers, no network access.

Loophole

Loophole is a one-tap Quick Settings toggle for Android Developer Options.

If you're an Android developer, Developer Options is basically always on. But a lot of banking and fintech apps treat that as a red flag and refuse to open, or silently degrade, while it's enabled -- even though you're not doing anything shady, you're just building.

The normal fix is: open Settings, find Developer Options, toggle it off, open your banking app, then remember to turn it back on later. Loophole turns that into one tap from the notification shade.

These come from Jetpack Glance, the framework used to build the home screen widget, which relies on WorkManager internally to schedule widget updates and survive process death. They are a byproduct of the widget framework itself, not of any network or background activity Loophole performs.

Tippen Sie Ihre Nachricht in WhatsApp, Telegram oder eine SMS, tippen Sie auf das Schloss, und im Feld bleibt der fertige Geheimtext stehen. Eingehende Nachrichten entschlüsselt Kryptos von selbst, direkt über dem Chat, während Sie scrollen, ohne Kopieren und ohne Wechseln. Tastatur und Bildschirmentschlüsselung sind ins System eingebunden und funktionieren deshalb in jeder App.

Auf iPhone und Android ist es dieselbe App, und beide sind vollständig kompatibel. Welches Telefon Ihr Gegenüber benutzt, spielt keine Rolle.

Die Verschlüsselung ist echt: das Signal-Protokoll über Signals eigene Bibliothek libsignal, ein frischer Schlüssel für jede Nachricht und Schutz auch vor künftigen Quantencomputern. Ein Kontakt lässt sich über die Sicherheitsnummer überprüfen. Wenn ein vollständiger Chat zu viel des Guten ist, gibt es einen einfachen Modus mit einem gemeinsamen Passwort, und für alle, die ohnehin mit PGP arbeiten, ist auch das eingebaut. Der Messenger sieht immer nur eine sinnlose Zeichenfolge ohne erkennbare Merkmale.

Steganografie verbirgt schon die Tatsache, dass Sie überhaupt schreiben: Der Geheimtext lässt sich in einem gewöhnlichen Foto vergraben oder als harmlose Folge echter Wörter tarnen. Ohne das Passwort gibt es im Foto nichts, worauf sich ein Test ansetzen ließe.

Nichts geht ins Netz: In der App steckt überhaupt kein Netzwerkcode, und der Build kommt ohne die INTERNET-Berechtigung aus. Gefragt wird nur nach der Kamera zum Scannen von QR-Codes, nach Vibration und nach der Steuerung von Overlays. Keine Konten, keine Telefonnummer, keine Server, keine Analyse. Schlüssel entstehen auf dem Telefon selbst, liegen im Android-Keystore und verlassen es nie.

Der Zugang lässt sich mit Biometrie oder einem Code sperren. Dazu kommt ein Panik-Passwort: ins selbe Feld getippt, löscht es alles endgültig, statt zu entsperren. Die Zwischenablage leert sich selbst, Nachrichten können nach einer Frist verschwinden, Screenshots und die Vorschau im App-Wechsler lassen sich blockieren, und alle Schlüssel können in eine einzige passwortgeschützte Datei exportiert werden, um sie auf ein neues Telefon zu bringen.

Link Clear strips tracking parameters from URLs using the bundled ClearURLs
ruleset. It works entirely offline by default: paste or share a link, and get
back the same link with the tracking noise removed.

Three ways to clean a link:

* Share target — share a link to Link Clear from any app. You land on a
confirmation screen showing the cleaned URL with Copy, Share, and Open
actions. With "Automatic action" enabled, the chosen action runs immediately.
* Quick Settings tile — add the "Clean clipboard" tile to your Quick Settings
panel. One tap cleans whatever is on the clipboard, in place.
* In-app editor — open the app for a Paste Clean / Paste Raw editor with a live
before/after diff of exactly what was removed.

Privacy first:

* Offline by default. The cleaning ruleset is bundled, so no network is needed.
* No runtime permissions. Link Clear only acts when you explicitly share, tap
the tile, or paste — it never watches your clipboard in the background.
* Two optional, off-by-default network features: resolving shortened links
(t.co, bit.ly, and similar) before cleaning, and manually refreshing the
bundled ruleset. Neither runs unless you turn it on.

StudFinder uses your Android phone's built-in magnetometer (compass sensor) to detect metal screws and nails inside wall studs. No paid subscription, no ads, no tracking — just a tool that works.

How it works:
Your phone's magnetometer measures the local magnetic field. Wood studs are held in place by metal fasteners (screws or nails) that disrupt the field. StudFinder reads that disruption and shows it on a live LED bar display, letting you sweep along the wall and pinpoint where studs are.

How to use:
1. Calibrate by moving a coin slowly around the back of your phone until the LED sequence completes.
2. Hold the phone flat against the wall.
3. Sweep slowly along the wall horizontally.
4. The LEDs light up red when the magnetometer detects a metal fastener inside a stud.
5. Mark the position and repeat to confirm the stud's width.

Limitations:
The magnetometer detects metal, not wood directly. It works reliably on standard wood-framed walls with metal screws or nails. Concrete walls, steel studs, or plaster-over-metal-lath surfaces give different results — consider a dedicated hardware stud finder for those.

Open source and F-Droid:

Épione is a directory of French health facilities (hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, health centres, maternal and child welfare centres…), based on the public FINESS open data from data.gouv.fr.

Works fully offline: all data is bundled in the app and available without a connection.
