AppVerifier BG verifies that installed Android apps match their expected signing certificate fingerprints. Compare an app's signing hash against shared text, an internal database synced from Privacy Guides, or your own user database. Hashes are checked for valid SHA-256 format — when verification fails, they're labeled "Expected" vs "Found" so you can tell which is which. Apps signed with debug certificates are flagged as insecure. .apks split APK containers are also accepted.

App List

Every installed user app shows status icons for internal database matches, user database entries, clipboard verification, and shared text matches at a glance. Sort by name, database status, debug builds, clipboard verified, or shared text — pick whichever you need from the dropdown, and it only shows modes with matching data. A filter chip hides everything except mismatches. The default sort order can be set in settings. Search by name or package name. Long-press an app with a user database entry or clipboard checkmark to remove it individually.

Internal Database

Built-in database of verified app hashes synced from privacyguides/verified-apps, updated with each build. The database download is verified against GitHub attestations before every build.

Combined Database Status

See internal and user database results side by side on the app list and verification screen. A setting lets you choose between both, internal only, or user database only.

User Database

Save verification info for later. Add entries individually from the verification screen or bulk-add from shared text. Supports import and export in JSON, text, and YAML formats (auto-detected on import, choose on export). Import lets you combine with existing entries or replace them, and shows a summary of what changed. Entries can be removed individually by long-pressing the app in the list, or removed in batch from selection mode.

Shared Text

Share verification info for several apps at once. Multiple entries separated by blank lines are accepted on receive. Shared text with multiple entries filters the app list to show matching apps only, with icons indicating hash match status. Bulk-add all verified matches to your database from the filtered list. AppVerifier also handles ACTION_SEND and ACTION_VIEW intents so you can share text or APK files directly from other apps.

Clipboard Verification

Verify from clipboard with a single button on the startup screen. Successful clipboard verifications add a blue checkmark in the app list. The checkmark can be toggled on or off in settings and cleared separately. Individual checkmarks can be removed by long-pressing the app in the list.

Share All Apps

Share every installed app's verification info as text from the settings screen.

Reproducible Builds

video in the chosen folder is added to one playlist, so the next / previous
buttons just work across mixed .mp4 + .mkv content; a broken or unsupported file

PDF Inspector opens a PDF and shows what is actually inside it. Like a browser's developer tools, it parses each page's content stream into a navigable tree of elements (text blocks, vector paths and images) so you can find any single element, select it on the page or in the tree, and edit it. Edits go to a saved copy; your original file is never touched.

Highlights:

* DevTools-style element tree: every page is parsed into a structured tree of text, path and image nodes, grouped the way the PDF draws them. Switch between friendly labels and the raw content-stream operators.
* Two-way selection: tap an element on the page or tap its row in the tree, and the other side highlights to match, with a clear bordered outline on the canvas.

Linthra is an open-source Android music player for people who keep their music on
their own devices or self-hosted servers. It plays local files, and it streams
from self-hosted music servers such as Jellyfin and Navidrome/Subsonic — you
bring your own server and sign in with your own account.

Linthra is an unofficial community client. It is not affiliated with Jellyfin,
Navidrome, or Subsonic.

The app is still early alpha. It's usable for testing on a real device, but it
isn't production-stable and has a few rough edges. The lists below separate what
works today from what's still planned.

On privacy:

* No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no crash-reporting or telemetry SDK.
* No account to create, and nothing phones home — streaming is the default, and
downloads only happen when you ask for them (Wi-Fi only unless you opt in to
mobile data).
* When you sign in to a server, the password is used once to get a session
token, then dropped; the token is stored encrypted and never logged.
* Open-source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, so anyone can read, build,

storage permission), scan it, and browse Songs, Albums, and Artists with

* Background playback with a media notification and lock-screen, Bluetooth, and

pure-Dart Cast implementation (no Google Play Services).

Still to come:

* Reading tags and album art from local files (for now they show file names).
* Subsonic favourites, lyrics, and cover art, and fuller playlist sync.
* "Download all" for an album or playlist.
* More sources, such as WebDAV / NAS, behind the same interface.
* A Linux desktop build later, from the same codebase.

iBeacon Tasker Plugin scans nearby Bluetooth LE iBeacon advertisements and returns matching beacon details to a Tasker or Locale-compatible automation task.

The scan can match any iBeacon, or filter by UUID, major value, minor value, and minimum RSSI. Results are returned as local variables including UUID, major, minor, RSSI, advertised TX power, estimated distance, Bluetooth address, and timestamp.

The app includes a simple launcher screen for granting permissions and testing scans without Tasker. Tasker scans run on demand; an optional compatibility monitor can be started for devices where background scans are unreliable. The monitor requests notification permission so Android 13 and newer can show the silent foreground-service notification. The app requests background location because Android treats Bluetooth LE scan results as location-capable, and Tasker-triggered scans may run after the app is no longer visible.

The source repository includes code, license, releases, and issue tracking.

Tasker or another Locale-compatible host is required for automation integration. The app has no ads, analytics, trackers, in-app purchases, or paid features. It does not request Internet access and does not send scan results off the device.

Privacy contract

The app declares no network permissions. Without internet, the process literally cannot open a socket, which makes phone-home impossible regardless of what any included library tries to do.

The build enforces this, so a network permission can never be silently introduced by a dependency update.

Magnifica is a magnifier app I built because sometimes text is tiny, labels are impossible to read, and product designers apparently enjoy using microscopic fonts.

The name is a little bilingual joke, born of a glorious act of linguistic optimism. I'm Spanish, and "Magnifica" sounds a bit like "magnify" in English. At the same time it brings to mind magnífica in Spanish, which means "magnificent." So the goal was obvious: build a magnifier app that's, well... magnificent.

WHAT IT DOES

• Magnifies stuff. The tiny print on a medicine box, the impossible serial number on a router, the ingredients list written by someone who clearly hates you — or that suspicious little dot on your kid's leg that you really, really need to know is a freckle and not a tick. Point, zoom, see.

• Sensible zoom. It steps in powers of two (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x…) and tops out at whatever your camera can actually do. Tap plus and minus, no fiddly pinching.

• Tap to focus. See a blurry thing, tap it, it becomes a readable thing.

• A torch. On the back camera it's your real flashlight. The front camera has no flash, so it turns the whole screen blindingly white and calls that a "flash." It's a hack. It works.

• Front and back cameras, one button to flip between them.

• Negative mode. Invert the colors with one tap — handy for low-contrast or light-on-dark text. The button even previews what you're about to switch to.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

No accounts. No ads. No mysterious permissions. It wants the camera, because it's a camera app, and then it would like to be left alone to do its job.

iSpindle Plotter is a self-hosted companion app for the iSpindel — an open-hardware floating hydrometer used by home brewers to track specific gravity through a fermentation. The app runs a small HTTP server on your phone that the iSpindel posts its readings to over your local Wi-Fi network, then stores, charts, and analyses those readings without ever sending your data to a third-party cloud service.

Pairing and configuration:

* Auto-pair flow that joins the iSpindel's configuration access point, sets the phone as the HTTP target (Generic HTTP / selAPI=3), reads the device's existing cubic calibration polynomial off the firmware, and reconnects to your home network — without losing pre-existing fields like the calibration on subsequent saves.
* mDNS-style hostname discovery so the iSpindel can find your phone again after either device's IP changes.
* Pushes the app's own calibration polynomial back to the iSpindel when you re-calibrate.

Calibration:

* Fit cubic / quadratic / linear polynomials from your own sucrose-dilution measurements.
* Imports the iSpindel's pre-installed factory calibration on first pairing.
* Setup guide with a sucrose-step-dilution recipe for 1.000–1.080 SG.

Plotting and analysis:

* Tilt angle, temperature, specific gravity, and battery voltage charts with a 24h / 7d / 30d / All time-window switcher.
* Potential-alcohol secondary axis on the SG chart.
* Robust phase classifier (Lag / Active / Slowing / Conditioning / Stuck / Cold crash) using a modified-Gompertz Levenberg-Marquardt fit (Zwietering et al. 1990), with fallback to an attenuation-prior when the data is too early to constrain the asymptote.
* Predicted final gravity overlaid on the chart with a tapering uncertainty band derived from short-time noise estimation and the calibration polynomial's residual.
* Battery runway estimate: linear discharge fit projecting time-to-cutoff at the current sample rate.
* Trim-before-date-and-time to drop pre-fermentation noise; CSV export via the system file picker.

Privacy:

* No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party network connections.
* Data is held only on your phone and only sent to your iSpindel's local IP for configuration writes.
* The app's HTTP server listens on the phone's local network address only.

Hardware: built and tested with an MTB iSpindel PCB 4.0; should work with any iSpindel firmware that supports the Generic HTTP target.

Upload-heavy tasks such as live streaming or sending large videos require stronger signal, typically better than -90 dBm. dBm lets you confirm the connection is sufficient before starting.

Haven uses the application id io.github.kennethchoinfosec.haven, so it installs as a separate app and does not upgrade or replace existing installs of the original app.

The main use-cases of Haven include:

- Installing apps inside a work profile for isolation
- "Freeze" apps inside the work profile to prevent them from running or being woken up when you are not actively using them

The side menu lists Help, Recording, Tracks & Grid (including keyboard shortcut presets), Screen, Permissions, the maintenance area, and

WORKING THE GRID

Each colored block is a quick control: tap it, or — with a keyboard connected — press the matching shortcut key. Want sliders and finer
options? Hold the block — or, with an external keyboard connected, press your shortcut key together with Ctrl. Set each track’s shortcut in its
details.
Each grid row also has start/stop for that row and a “⋮” menu with bulk actions for every track in that row (playback mode, level,
balance, speed, trim resets, delete that row’s recordings).
In the side menu, pick a preset shortcut map for your keyboard: standard (PC-style, flexible grid) or the 24-key 6×4 layout.

INSIDE A TRACK

Trim the start and end, choose loop or single pass, set level and left/right balance, change playback speed, name the track, and assign a
shortcut. Move the track on the grid, replace the audio with another file, share a recording, or clear the slot.

ICONS ON THE BLOCK

Icons show shortcuts, audio source, level, balance, trim, and loop mode. Open Help from the side menu for a full legend.

RECORDING QUALITY

Settings include file format, time resolution, bit rate (bitrate), mono or stereo, and — when the device supports it — automatic level
control (AGC), less room echo, and quieter background noise.

SETTINGS PROFILES

Profiles store full setups: recording options plus language, light or dark theme, accent color, and keeping the screen on. Save several
profiles, switch with a tap, remove one with a long press.

PROJECT ZIP EXPORT

One ZIP file holds the grid layout, every track’s settings, and the audio, with a short integrity check and a small summary (version,
export time, grid size, and recording statistics). Import shows a preview and a warning before overwriting. The app rejects damaged or incomplete files.

PERMISSIONS

Microphone (and USB audio when the OS allows), storage for imports and exports, and optional Android notifications if you record while the
app is in the background.

Proxy Exit is NOT a way to set up a proxy on your phone. It is a part of a setup to route your desktop browser's internet traffic through your phone's mobile data connection.

Setup requires three components: a Proxy Server, this app, and a configured browser.

● Start the Proxy Server

Run the following Docker command on a machine accessible from the internet:

Port 8888 — browser HTTP proxy connections
Port 9999 — mobile app connections
XXX — your chosen password

If the server is running on a home machine, ensure port 9999 is forwarded to it.

● Configure the app

Enter the server's IP address, port (9999), and your password, then tap Start.

Keep the app running in the foreground while in use. If the connection to the server drops, the app will automatically retry every minute.

● Configure your browser

Set the browser's HTTP and HTTPS proxy to the server's IP address and port (8888).

How it works:

1. The app connects to the Proxy Server, making the phone available as a proxy exit node.

Each paired contact generates a rotating 4-word phrase that only the real person's phone can produce. You ask her to read her phrase aloud; you type what you hear. Green banner: verified. Red banner: something's wrong — hang up and call her back on a number you already trust.

Signet works over any channel. Voice calls, video calls, text, email, in person. The only requirement is that the two of you paired once, in person or over a trusted channel, before the crisis.

DocumentsUI Shortcut is a tiny launcher for Android's built-in Files / DocumentsUI app.

It does not request storage permission, does not read files, does not use the network, and does not run a background service. Tapping the launcher icon opens the system file manager in browser mode when supported by the device.

Access to Android/data and Android/obb is controlled by Android and the device vendor's DocumentsUI implementation.

This super-niche application was developed purely to deal with a strong dislike of the fast-moving, distracting subtitles that are hard-coded into many social media videos and cannot be turned off.

When enabled, the overlay can either be docked as a small unobtrusive tab on the side of the screen, or expanded into a resizable, moveable rectangle which can be dragged to cover the area displaying subtitles. Colours, opacity, which edge the tab pins to, and symmetric (centre-anchored) resize are all configurable.

Basic operation should be completely obvious:

• Tap the chevrons » in the middle of the overlay to collapse it to a side tab.
• Tap the tab to expand it again.
• Drag any corner to resize.
• Drag anywhere else to move.
• Triple-tap the overlay to open Settings.

You can add the "Sub Blocker" tile to your Android Quick Settings panel (swipe down, tap the edit pencil, drag the tile into your active tiles) to quickly toggle the overlay on and off without opening the app.
