SponsorCut

Remove sponsor segments from local video and audio files using SponsorBlock.

SponsorCut removes sponsor segments, intros, outros, and other non-content sections from locally stored video and audio files. It uses SponsorBlock community data to identify segments, then re-encodes or stream-copies the file with those sections cleanly cut out.

How it works:

Enter a YouTube or Rumble video ID, or share a file directly from your file manager or browser. SponsorCut fetches the SponsorBlock segment list for the ID, shows you what will be cut and how much time you'll save, then processes the file entirely on-device. The result is saved to your Downloads or Music folder.

Usage methods:
- Share a video or audio file from any file manager
- Share a URL from YouTube or Rumble — SponsorCut extracts the ID and pre-fetches segments
- Enter a YouTube video ID manually and browse to the local file
- Open a file directly via a compatible player or browser

Features:
- Supports MP4, MKV, WebM, TS, M4A, MP3, AAC, and Opus files
- Audio-only files are saved to Music/SponsorCut with correct MIME type
- Cancel button stops processing at any time
- Wake lock keeps CPU active when the screen turns off during long jobs
- Diagnostic log shows detailed FFmpeg output after each run
- Status text is selectable for easy copying
- Remembers the last used video ID and file across sessions

All processing is local. No data is sent to any server except the SponsorBlock API query (video ID only) and an optional YouTube oEmbed title lookup. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts.

Requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later.

SponsorCut is free, open-source, and built in spare time. If it saves you time every day, consider buying the developer a coffee:

https://buymeacoffee.com/steiff

Bitcoin donations also welcome:
bc1qqz6dxwc38lrhmp6u9880alkvretwv2d6ds5had
Trayzero

A Getting Things Done inbox — capture, clarify, engage. On-device, no account.

Trayzero brings David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) method to your phone. Free, open source, no ads, no account, no sign-up. Your data lives on your device. Always.

THE FIVE GTD STEPS, BUILT IN

Capture — one tap, anywhere.
A floating Capture button on every screen. Share anything from any app straight into your inbox. Voice-to-text for hands-free thoughts. A home-screen widget for the fastest possible "add to inbox."

Clarify — the killer flow.
Process Inbox runs you through your captures one at a time, card-stack style. Each card walks the full GTD decision tree: actionable? Two-minute rule? Delegate? Single step or a project? When? Where? You hit inbox-zero faster than you thought possible.

Organize — the canonical GTD lists.
Inbox, Next Actions, Projects, Waiting For, Someday/Maybe, Calendar, Reference. Plus a real Project type with outcome, next-action warning, and Active / On Hold / Someday / Done / Dropped status. Seven default @-contexts you can extend (@phone, @computer, @errands, @home, @office, @anywhere, @waiting). Areas of Responsibility for the higher altitudes.

Reflect — a Weekly Review wizard.
A seven-step review walks you through the canonical GTD pass: clear inbox, review next actions, check waiting-for, scan calendar, review someday/maybe, look at projects, set next week's intentions. Daily review supported too.

Engage — do now.
The Engage tab filters Next Actions by Context, Energy (low / medium / high), and Time Available (<5m / <15m / <30m / <1h). Pull up the actions that match the moment you're in.

REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY WORK
Due-date, defer-until, waiting-for follow-up, and weekly-review nudges fire as system notifications with action buttons — Done, Snooze, Move to Next Actions. Reminders survive reboots and app updates. Opt-in two-way calendar sync mirrors dated items into your system calendar.

VOICE, PHOTOS, AUDIO
Capture by voice. Attach photos or voice memos to any item.

PRIVACY YOU DON'T HAVE TO THINK ABOUT
- 100% on-device. SQLite under the hood.
- No account, no servers, no analytics.
- Crash reporting is opt-in and off by default.
- Backup/restore as plain JSON: you own your data, you can take it anywhere.

MATERIAL 3, LIGHT + DARK
A sunrise-amber palette, slidable rows, accessibility-friendly text scaling and TalkBack labels.

WHO IT'S FOR
- GTD practitioners who want a clean, focused app that respects the method.
- Anyone tired of cloud-syncing personal task data through someone else's servers.
- People who want their tasks where their phone is — and nowhere else.

Trayzero is an independent app inspired by the Getting Things Done methodology. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by David Allen Company. "Getting Things Done" and "GTD" are trademarks of the David Allen Company.
Tasks are stored in plain JSON, so they
sync cleanly with Syncthing or any folder-sync tool, and a small terminal UI is
available for editing the same file from a Linux laptop.

Features
* Time-horizon task list — swipe between horizons, peek at what's next
* Minimalist home screen with a focused task view
* App drawer with frequency-ranked apps and instant text search
* Optional double-tap to launch the dialer
* Calendar widget with free-time calculation across selected calendars
* Zen Mode for distraction-free focus on a single task
* Plain-JSON storage that syncs over Syncthing
* Interactive in-app tutorial — replayable from Settings → Introduction

Permissions
* Query all packages — needed to list installed apps in the drawer
* Read calendar — only used for the calendar widget; you can deny it
* Set wallpaper — used by the launcher to restore your wallpaper
* Bind device admin — only requested if you opt in to Zen Mode's
Do Not Disturb integration

The app is offline-first and contains no trackers, no analytics, and no ads.
Source code is published under the MIT License at
https://gitlab.com/hwanderer/entropysdefiance.

If you'd like to support development:
https://buymeacoffee.com/hwanderer
AppVerifier BG

Verify installed apps against shared signature hashes and databases.

AppVerifier BG verifies that installed Android apps match their expected signing certificate fingerprints. Compare an app's signing hash against shared text, an internal database synced from Privacy Guides, or your own user database. Hashes are checked for valid SHA-256 format — when verification fails, they're labeled "Expected" vs "Found" so you can tell which is which. Apps signed with debug certificates are flagged as insecure. .apks split APK containers are also accepted.

App List

Every installed user app shows status icons for internal database matches, user database entries, clipboard verification, and shared text matches at a glance. Sort by name, database status, debug builds, clipboard verified, or shared text — pick whichever you need from the dropdown, and it only shows modes with matching data. A filter chip hides everything except mismatches. The default sort order can be set in settings. Search by name or package name. Long-press an app with a user database entry or clipboard checkmark to remove it individually.

Internal Database

Built-in database of verified app hashes synced from privacyguides/verified-apps, updated with each build. The database download is verified against GitHub attestations before every build.

Combined Database Status

See internal and user database results side by side on the app list and verification screen. A setting lets you choose between both, internal only, or user database only.

User Database

Save verification info for later. Add entries individually from the verification screen or bulk-add from shared text. Supports import and export in JSON, text, and YAML formats (auto-detected on import, choose on export). Import lets you combine with existing entries or replace them, and shows a summary of what changed. Entries can be removed individually by long-pressing the app in the list, or removed in batch from selection mode.

Shared Text

Share verification info for several apps at once. Multiple entries separated by blank lines are accepted on receive. Shared text with multiple entries filters the app list to show matching apps only, with icons indicating hash match status. Bulk-add all verified matches to your database from the filtered list. AppVerifier also handles ACTION_SEND and ACTION_VIEW intents so you can share text or APK files directly from other apps.

Clipboard Verification

Verify from clipboard with a single button on the startup screen. Successful clipboard verifications add a blue checkmark in the app list. The checkmark can be toggled on or off in settings and cleared separately. Individual checkmarks can be removed by long-pressing the app in the list.

Share All Apps

Share every installed app's verification info as text from the settings screen.

Reproducible Builds

Release builds use SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH and deterministic R8 so the same tag always produces the same APK.

This is a fork of soupslurpr/AppVerifier with additional features.
Tiny ad-free player with reliable next/previous across mp4 + mkv folders

A deliberately tiny, free, ad-free, open-source video player whose only job is
to play videos and reliably jump to the next / previous video in the same
folder, including folders that mix .mp4 and .mkv files.

It is built on Android's modern media stack (AndroidX Media3 / ExoPlayer). Every
video in the chosen folder is added to one playlist, so the next / previous
buttons just work across mixed .mp4 + .mkv content; a broken or unsupported file
is skipped instead of freezing playback.

Features:

* Reliable next / previous across a whole folder, regardless of .mp4 vs .mkv.
* Double-tap the right or left side to seek forward / backward; the step grows
with consecutive taps and is capped relative to the video length.
* Rotation button that can force landscape, force portrait, or follow the
sensor even when the system rotation lock is on (like YouTube and VLC).
* Optional all-files access (this F-Droid build) so opening any video from any
file manager lets next / previous work through the whole folder, including
hidden folders that the media scanner ignores. If you decline the permission,
the app falls back to the Storage Access Framework folder picker.

No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
PDF Inspector

Inspect, select, edit and delete the elements inside any PDF

PDF Inspector opens a PDF and shows what is actually inside it. Like a browser's developer tools, it parses each page's content stream into a navigable tree of elements (text blocks, vector paths and images) so you can find any single element, select it on the page or in the tree, and edit it. Edits go to a saved copy; your original file is never touched.

Highlights:

* DevTools-style element tree: every page is parsed into a structured tree of text, path and image nodes, grouped the way the PDF draws them. Switch between friendly labels and the raw content-stream operators.
* Two-way selection: tap an element on the page or tap its row in the tree, and the other side highlights to match, with a clear bordered outline on the canvas.
* Edit in place: move and resize an element, recolor its fill or stroke (entered as hex, with the element's color space shown), and retype text. When the original font lacks a character, re-encode the line with a fallback font, bundled or taken from your device or imported. Changes are written straight back into the content stream, with full undo and redo.
* Surgical delete: remove exactly the element you picked by rewriting just its part of the content stream, leaving the rest of the page untouched.
* Save a copy: write your edited PDF to a new file through the system file picker; the source document is left unchanged.
* Smooth viewing: pan and pinch-zoom, fit to width or height, a global zoom that carries across pages, and a full-screen mode.
* Dockable inspector: the inspector panel docks to the side in landscape or the bottom in portrait, can be resized, and can be made transparent to see the page through it.
* Material You: Material 3 design with dynamic color on Android 12+, light / dark / system themes and a choice of accent colors.

Private and open:

* Open source, no accounts, no telemetry.
* No network access and no storage permission: files are opened and saved through Android's Storage Access Framework, so the app only ever touches the documents you explicitly pick.

PDF Inspector works with the drawing primitives a PDF already contains: select, move, resize, recolor, retype and delete them. It is not a word-processor-style text editor, so lines do not reflow, but when the original font is missing a character you can re-encode the text with a fallback font, bundled or taken from your device or imported.
Linthra

Open-source, local-first music player for music you own. No forced sync.

Linthra is an open-source Android music player for people who keep their music on
their own devices or self-hosted servers. It plays local files, and it streams
from self-hosted music servers such as Jellyfin and Navidrome/Subsonic — you
bring your own server and sign in with your own account.

Linthra is an unofficial community client. It is not affiliated with Jellyfin,
Navidrome, or Subsonic.

The app is still early alpha. It's usable for testing on a real device, but it
isn't production-stable and has a few rough edges. The lists below separate what
works today from what's still planned.

On privacy:

* No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and no crash-reporting or telemetry SDK.
* No account to create, and nothing phones home — streaming is the default, and
downloads only happen when you ask for them (Wi-Fi only unless you opt in to
mobile data).
* When you sign in to a server, the password is used once to get a session
token, then dropped; the token is stored encrypted and never logged.
* Open-source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, so anyone can read, build,
and contribute to it.

What works today:

* Local library — pick a folder with the Storage Access Framework (no broad
storage permission), scan it, and browse Songs, Albums, and Artists with
search.
* Streaming from your own Jellyfin or Navidrome / Subsonic server: test the
connection, sign in, sync, and play, including over HTTPS.
* A smart offline cache — download tracks for offline play, with a size limit
and a "Keep offline" pin.
* Queue / Up Next, playlists and favourites (synced with Jellyfin where it's
supported), and automatic "smart mixes" built from on-device signals.
* Background playback with a media notification and lock-screen, Bluetooth, and
wired-headset controls, plus shuffle / repeat and synced lyrics.
* Android Auto browsing, and casting to a Chromecast, speaker, or TV through a
pure-Dart Cast implementation (no Google Play Services).

Still to come:

* Reading tags and album art from local files (for now they show file names).
* Subsonic favourites, lyrics, and cover art, and fuller playlist sync.
* "Download all" for an album or playlist.
* More sources, such as WebDAV / NAS, behind the same interface.
* A Linux desktop build later, from the same codebase.

Linthra is distributed for testing as a sideloaded APK from GitHub Releases. It
isn't on F-Droid or Google Play yet.
Private messaging over Tor. No phone, no email. Now with channels.

Zerion is a private messenger. It runs over Tor, so your IP address is hidden from the people you message and from the network. There's no phone number, no email, no account on a server. Your messages live encrypted on your device.

Everything is end-to-end encrypted with hybrid post-quantum cryptography — both today's standard algorithms and the new NIST quantum-resistant ones. If quantum computers arrive sooner than expected, your old conversations stay safe.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• One-to-one chats with end-to-end encryption
• Group chats up to a few dozen people
• Voice calls over Tor
• Send photos, videos, voice notes, and documents
• Disappearing messages
• A built-in vault for passwords, notes, and private files
• Channels — a publisher-to-subscriber broadcast layer with optional discussion threads

CHANNELS

Channels are a one-to-many space. One person writes, many people read.

• Public channels: anyone with the invite link can subscribe
• Private channels: subscribers ask to join, the owner approves
• Discussion threads: owners decide whether subscribers can reply under each post
• Editor delegations: let trusted people post without sharing your identity key
• Pinned posts, reactions, attachments
• No subscriber-to-subscriber metadata leaks — subscribers don't see each other

HARDENED MODE (OPT-IN)

Three independent protections under Security settings, all off by default:

• Refuse to start on tampered devices (unlocked bootloader, modified system)
• Refuse to start when a debugger, root, or hooking framework is detected
• Sign out automatically (or wipe) if ADB or file transfer is enabled over USB

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

• Tor-only transport — no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or LAN exposure
• No phone number, no email, no central server
• No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting
• No logging of any kind — verified at build time
• Encrypted at rest with SQLCipher and a password-derived key
• Screenshots blocked inside the app
• Notifications never show message previews
• Open source on GitHub, GPL v3, audited per release

WHO IT'S FOR

People who want to talk to other people without a third party in the middle. Journalists and their sources, activists, lawyers and their clients, people in countries that block secure messengers. Anyone who doesn't want to hand a phone number to a tech company every time they install a messenger.

WHAT IT WON'T DO

• It won't message people who aren't on Zerion
• It won't work without an internet connection (Tor needs one)
• It won't restore your account if you forget the password — there is no recovery, and that's the point

LEARN MORE

• Website: https://zerion.chat
• Source: https://github.com/zerionproject/Zerion

Built on the Bramble protocol. Doing so may damage the battery and cause it to swell up, which could cause it to explode.

Some models include an option to only charge to 80%, make sure this is enabled where possible.

Note: running at a higher image quality may cause some phones to over heat, which can also damage the battery.

iBeacon Tasker Plugin

Scan iBeacon advertisements from Tasker tasks

iBeacon Tasker Plugin scans nearby Bluetooth LE iBeacon advertisements and returns matching beacon details to a Tasker or Locale-compatible automation task.

The scan can match any iBeacon, or filter by UUID, major value, minor value, and minimum RSSI. Results are returned as local variables including UUID, major, minor, RSSI, advertised TX power, estimated distance, Bluetooth address, and timestamp.

The app includes a simple launcher screen for granting permissions and testing scans without Tasker. Tasker scans run on demand; an optional compatibility monitor can be started for devices where background scans are unreliable. The monitor requests notification permission so Android 13 and newer can show the silent foreground-service notification. The app requests background location because Android treats Bluetooth LE scan results as location-capable, and Tasker-triggered scans may run after the app is no longer visible.

The source repository includes code, license, releases, and issue tracking.

Tasker or another Locale-compatible host is required for automation integration. The app has no ads, analytics, trackers, in-app purchases, or paid features. It does not request Internet access and does not send scan results off the device.
Simple offline compound interest calculator

Compound Interest Calculator helps people estimate how savings or investments may grow over time.

It uses a guided three-step flow:

* Enter the money you have now, what you add each month, and the currency symbol to display.
* Choose how long the money can grow, an estimated yearly interest rate, and how often interest is added.
* Review the ending balance, total money added, interest earned, an interactive graph, and a year-by-year breakdown.

The app is designed for people who are not comfortable with financial jargon. It uses plain labels such as "You added" and "Your money earned" to make the result easier to understand.

Privacy:

* No ads
* No analytics
* No tracking
* No Google services
* No network permission
* No exchange-rate downloads

This calculator is an estimate, not financial advice.
Mood Cairns

Private, fully offline mood tracker. No network access. Your data's yours..

A private, fully offline Android mood tracker. Log how you're feeling against your own scales, in your own time windows, on your own device. Nothing is ever uploaded - sync, if you want it, is your job (Syncthing works well on the encrypted backup folder).

Features

* Custom scales. Five built-in scales (Happiness, Anxiety, Stress, Boredom, Pain), each numeric and color-tagged. Add your own; archive the ones you don't want.
* Prompt windows. Define time-of-day windows (e.g. morning 08:00-12:00, evening 18:00-20:00). The app fires one notification per window per day at a randomized time inside it. Tap the notification to jump straight to the log entry screen.
* History and charts. Browse past entries, see per-scale trends over time.
* Encrypted on-disk storage. The mood database is encrypted at rest using SQLCipher. The key lives in memory only while the app is unlocked, and is wiped when you lock it.
* PIN + biometric lock. PIN-gated app entry, with optional biometric unlock. PIN is hashed with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (600k iterations) before being stored.
* Encrypted backups. Manual export writes an AES-GCM-encrypted JSON file to Documents/MoodCairns/. The encryption key is derived from your PIN with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (200k iterations) and a fresh per-backup salt embedded in the envelope, so any install (including a fresh one) can decrypt with the same PIN.
* Home-screen widget for one-tap mood logging.

Privacy contract

The app declares no network permissions. Without internet, the process literally cannot open a socket, which makes phone-home impossible regardless of what any included library tries to do.

The build enforces this, so a network permission can never be silently introduced by a dependency update.

If you want backups synced off-device, point Syncthing (or any file manager that can sync a folder) at Documents/MoodCairns/.

Source

Fully open source under GPL-3.0-only. Built on Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room, SQLCipher, and AndroidX.
SrednaBG

Real-time average speed inside Bulgaria's average-speed camera zones.

SrednaBG shows your real-time running average speed inside Bulgaria's average-speed camera zones — and tells you the maximum speed you can sustain for the rest of the zone without going over the limit.

Free. Open source. Bulgaria only.

WHAT IT DOES

• Running average, live — The moment you enter a zone, your running average becomes the hero number. No lag, no jitter. Updates every second.

• Max now — Shows the top speed you can drive for the rest of the zone without breaking the limit. Waze tells you the zone exists; SrednaBG tells you what to do about it.

• Green / amber / red at a glance — The screen color tracks your state. Green: within limit. Amber: careful, slow down. Red: already over.

• Voice alerts in Bulgarian and English — Keep your eyes on the road. SrednaBG speaks zone entries, exits, and slowdown warnings in the language you choose.

• Works fully offline — The Bulgaria map and zone list are bundled inside the app. No internet needed in the car. Updates arrive quietly when you're on Wi-Fi.

• Alongside Waze, or instead of it — Run SrednaBG as a full navigator, or let it sit quietly behind Waze / Google Maps — you'll hear its voice when it matters.

PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED

• Background location — Average-speed zones can be many kilometres long, and a drive often outlasts the screen timeout or runs behind another navigation app. SrednaBG needs location while in the background so your average keeps updating with the screen off or another app in front. It is used only to compute your speed inside zones — never shared, and it never leaves your phone.

• Ignore battery optimizations (optional) — You can grant an exemption so the system doesn't suspend tracking mid-drive. It is optional and requested only from a card you tap; tracking still starts without it, just less reliably on devices with aggressive power management.

PRIVACY

• No cookies, no trackers anywhere.
• No account, no email, no signup. Install and drive.
• No ads. No in-app purchases. Free forever.
• No third-party SDKs. No Google Analytics. No Firebase.
• Your location never leaves your phone.

Open source — MIT License.
Source code: https://github.com/demosten-com/SrednaBG
Magnifica is a magnifier app I built because sometimes text is tiny, labels are impossible to read, and product designers apparently enjoy using microscopic fonts.

The name is a little bilingual joke, born of a glorious act of linguistic optimism. I'm Spanish, and "Magnifica" sounds a bit like "magnify" in English. At the same time it brings to mind magnífica in Spanish, which means "magnificent." So the goal was obvious: build a magnifier app that's, well... magnificent.

WHAT IT DOES

• Magnifies stuff. The tiny print on a medicine box, the impossible serial number on a router, the ingredients list written by someone who clearly hates you — or that suspicious little dot on your kid's leg that you really, really need to know is a freckle and not a tick. Point, zoom, see.

• Sensible zoom. It steps in powers of two (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x…) and tops out at whatever your camera can actually do. Tap plus and minus, no fiddly pinching.

• Tap to focus. See a blurry thing, tap it, it becomes a readable thing.

• A torch. On the back camera it's your real flashlight. The front camera has no flash, so it turns the whole screen blindingly white and calls that a "flash." It's a hack. It works.

• Front and back cameras, one button to flip between them.

• Negative mode. Invert the colors with one tap — handy for low-contrast or light-on-dark text. The button even previews what you're about to switch to.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

No accounts. No ads. No mysterious permissions. It wants the camera, because it's a camera app, and then it would like to be left alone to do its job.

Magnifica: a magnificent way to make small things bigger.
iSpindle Plotter

Collect and plot fermentation data from an iSpindel hydrometer.

iSpindle Plotter is a self-hosted companion app for the iSpindel — an open-hardware floating hydrometer used by home brewers to track specific gravity through a fermentation. The app runs a small HTTP server on your phone that the iSpindel posts its readings to over your local Wi-Fi network, then stores, charts, and analyses those readings without ever sending your data to a third-party cloud service.

Pairing and configuration:

* Auto-pair flow that joins the iSpindel's configuration access point, sets the phone as the HTTP target (Generic HTTP / selAPI=3), reads the device's existing cubic calibration polynomial off the firmware, and reconnects to your home network — without losing pre-existing fields like the calibration on subsequent saves.
* mDNS-style hostname discovery so the iSpindel can find your phone again after either device's IP changes.
* Pushes the app's own calibration polynomial back to the iSpindel when you re-calibrate.

Calibration:

* Fit cubic / quadratic / linear polynomials from your own sucrose-dilution measurements.
* Imports the iSpindel's pre-installed factory calibration on first pairing.
* Setup guide with a sucrose-step-dilution recipe for 1.000–1.080 SG.

Plotting and analysis:

* Tilt angle, temperature, specific gravity, and battery voltage charts with a 24h / 7d / 30d / All time-window switcher.
* Potential-alcohol secondary axis on the SG chart.
* Robust phase classifier (Lag / Active / Slowing / Conditioning / Stuck / Cold crash) using a modified-Gompertz Levenberg-Marquardt fit (Zwietering et al. 1990), with fallback to an attenuation-prior when the data is too early to constrain the asymptote.
* Predicted final gravity overlaid on the chart with a tapering uncertainty band derived from short-time noise estimation and the calibration polynomial's residual.
* Battery runway estimate: linear discharge fit projecting time-to-cutoff at the current sample rate.
* Trim-before-date-and-time to drop pre-fermentation noise; CSV export via the system file picker.

Privacy:

* No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party network connections.
* Data is held only on your phone and only sent to your iSpindel's local IP for configuration writes.
* The app's HTTP server listens on the phone's local network address only.

Hardware: built and tested with an MTB iSpindel PCB 4.0; should work with any iSpindel firmware that supports the Generic HTTP target.
Quedalle in ads, tracking, accounts. Just a tile launcher.

I was tired of launchers that look like airplane cockpits. I wanted one that just launches apps. So I made Quedalle — French slang for "absolutely nothing":

Quedalle in useless widgets.
Quedalle in flashy animations.
Quedalle in endless menus.

But also:

Quedalle in ads.
Quedalle in tracking.
Quedalle in mandatory logins.
Quedalle in paid features.
Quedalle in internet permissions.

Just a launcher. A tile grid. Your apps. That's it.

TILES

- App tiles — with live notification badge counts
- Spacer tiles — colored blanks to structure your grid
- Divider tiles — thin lines between tile groups

CUSTOMIZATION

- Drag and drop to reorder any tile
- 12 color presets per tile, plus app-color and transparent
- Inline app search

PRIVACY

- No internet permission
- No analytics, cloud sync, or accounts
- Open source under GPL-3.0
MobiloSignal

Find the best spot for calls and mobile internet by seeing signal strength

Mobilosignal shows your Android phone’s real-time cellular signal strength in dBm. The value is always visible in the status bar and in a notification, even while you use other apps.

Unlike signal bars, dBm is a precise measurement of radio signal power, allowing you to see actual network conditions instead of a simplified guess.

Practical uses of monitoring signal strength in dBm:

📞 Prevent call drops in weak areas
If signal falls below about -105 dBm, voice calls become unstable even if bars are still visible. Seeing this in advance lets you move a few steps before dialing instead of losing the call mid-conversation.

🎮 Avoid lag spikes during mobile gaming
Online games become unstable below roughly -95 dBm. Monitoring this lets you reposition before starting a match instead of dealing with unpredictable lag or disconnects.

🎥 Stable video uploads and streaming
Upload-heavy tasks such as live streaming or sending large videos require stronger signal, typically better than -90 dBm. dBm lets you confirm the connection is sufficient before starting.

🚗 Predict signal loss on daily routes
While commuting, you will notice exact dBm values where signal consistently drops below usable levels. This allows planning calls or downloads outside those zones instead of discovering the problem every day.

🏠 Choose the exact spot for hotspot usage
When using your phone as a hotspot, performance depends directly on signal strength. Moving from -105 dBm to -85 dBm can multiply speed several times. The app shows exactly where that improvement happens.

🔋 Explain sudden battery drain
If your phone sits at -110 dBm for long periods, it continuously boosts transmission power. This is a measurable cause of fast battery drain, not some mysterious background app.

🏢 Find the one place in a building that works
In offices, basements, or elevators, signal can change from -75 dBm to -115 dBm within a few meters. The app helps you locate the one usable spot instead of guessing or walking randomly.

📡 Verify signal improvement objectively exists
After installing a repeater or moving near a window, you can confirm improvement numerically, for example from -108 dBm to -82 dBm, instead of relying on subjective “feels better”.

📶 Decide when to switch to Wi-Fi
If cellular drops below about -100 dBm while Wi-Fi is available, switching avoids slow speeds and packet loss. The decision becomes data-driven instead of reactive.

🔄 Compare network conditions across time
Observe how signal varies during the day. Consistent drops at specific hours indicate tower congestion or load issues rather than physical coverage problems.

⚠ Identify false “full bars” situations
Some phones display high bars even at -95 dBm or worse. Seeing the real value prevents trusting misleading UI and explains why performance does not match what the screen suggests.

📶 Detect unstable signal before drops happen
Signal bars on Android are not standardized and are defined by device manufacturers and carrier configuration. As a result, visually “strong” signal may still correspond to borderline radio conditions (around -95 to -105 dBm). dBm reveals radio signal degradation in real time, allowing you to react before calls drop or data stalls.

⚠ Separate signal problems from network problems
Strong signal (e.g. -70 dBm) with poor internet performance indicates carrier-side congestion. Weak signal (e.g. below -105 dBm) indicates coverage limitations. This distinction prevents incorrect troubleshooting.

Mobilosignal turns your Android phone into a precise signal indicating tool, replacing unreliable signal bars with quantitative data about connectivity and network troubleshooting.

Created by Eugen Barilyuk EB43 https://eb43.github.io

Haven is a Free and Open-Source app that leverages the "Work Profile" feature of Android to provide an isolated space that you can install or clone apps into.

Haven uses the application id io.github.kennethchoinfosec.haven, so it installs as a separate app and does not upgrade or replace existing installs of the original app.

The main use-cases of Haven include:

- Installing apps inside a work profile for isolation
- "Freeze" apps inside the work profile to prevent them from running or being woken up when you are not actively using them
- Installing two copies of the same app on the same device

Note that Haven depends on the Work Profile feature of the Android system, so any bugs related to Work Profiles in the Android-derived system you are using will affect Haven.
Privacy score for your Android — 45+ checks, no cloud, no tracking.

Privamatic audits your Android device and gives you a clear 0-100 privacy score based on your actual settings — not guesswork.

Whether you're just starting to take privacy seriously or you're already running GrapheneOS, Privamatic shows you exactly what's exposing your data and how to fix it, step by step.

45+ automated checks cover system security (screen lock, encryption, USB debugging, biometrics, security patch date), network privacy (VPN, Private DNS, Wi-Fi scanning), surveillance apps (Google, Meta, Microsoft, TikTok, AI assistants), and default apps (browser, keyboard, launcher, email). Correctly handles de-Googled setups — microG is detected and not penalised, GrapheneOS sandboxed Play is recognised, and checks that don't apply to your setup are automatically skipped.

Trusted Apps — whitelist FOSS apps that legitimately use accessibility, notification, or location permissions. Toggle an app as trusted and its score penalty is removed instantly. You decide what you trust.

Quick Wins surface the easiest improvements first — each one includes plain-English instructions and a direct link to the relevant Settings page.

Manual Checks remind you to periodically review location permissions, camera and microphone access, and unused apps — the things that can't be checked automatically.

A home screen widget keeps your privacy score visible at a glance, with Material You theming that adapts to your wallpaper.

Fully offline — no network requests, no analytics, no accounts, no cloud sync. You can pick a point on an OpenStreetMap-based map, browse ParaglidingEarth launch sites, save favourite flying sites, choose whether Favorites opens on startup, compare forecast models, and use dark mode in the field.

Forecast data is provided by Open-Meteo. Launch site data is provided by ParaglidingEarth and can be disabled in Settings. Map layers are provided by OpenFreeMap, OpenTopoMap, NASA GIBS, Esri World Imagery, OpenMapTiles, OpenStreetMap contributors, and SRTM.
Tune Tangler

Enjoy your music — record, refine, remix, share.

Tune Tangler is a simple grid for short musical ideas. Record with the built-in microphone or USB-connected audio hardware. You can also load a file from the device.

Play tracks together so they stay in time, or run them independently. Use looping or a single pass — whatever you need. All recordings and
settings are kept after you close the app. You can share tracks or save the whole project as a ZIP file.

NAVIGATION

The top bar shows the app title: the logo on the left opens the side menu; on the right, start/stop all tracks and a “⋮” menu for actions
for the whole grid at once — ZIP project export/import, shared playback tweaks, trim resets, and More settings… (which also opens the side menu).
The side menu lists Help, Recording, Tracks & Grid (including keyboard shortcut presets), Screen, Permissions, the maintenance area, and
profiles at the bottom.

WORKING THE GRID

Each colored block is a quick control: tap it, or — with a keyboard connected — press the matching shortcut key. Want sliders and finer
options? Hold the block — or, with an external keyboard connected, press your shortcut key together with Ctrl. Set each track’s shortcut in its
details.
Each grid row also has start/stop for that row and a “⋮” menu with bulk actions for every track in that row (playback mode, level,
balance, speed, trim resets, delete that row’s recordings).
In the side menu, pick a preset shortcut map for your keyboard: standard (PC-style, flexible grid) or the 24-key 6×4 layout.

INSIDE A TRACK

Trim the start and end, choose loop or single pass, set level and left/right balance, change playback speed, name the track, and assign a
shortcut. Move the track on the grid, replace the audio with another file, share a recording, or clear the slot.

ICONS ON THE BLOCK

Icons show shortcuts, audio source, level, balance, trim, and loop mode. Open Help from the side menu for a full legend.

RECORDING QUALITY

Settings include file format, time resolution, bit rate (bitrate), mono or stereo, and — when the device supports it — automatic level
control (AGC), less room echo, and quieter background noise.

SETTINGS PROFILES

Profiles store full setups: recording options plus language, light or dark theme, accent color, and keeping the screen on. Save several
profiles, switch with a tap, remove one with a long press.

PROJECT ZIP EXPORT

One ZIP file holds the grid layout, every track’s settings, and the audio, with a short integrity check and a small summary (version,
export time, grid size, and recording statistics). Import shows a preview and a warning before overwriting. The app rejects damaged or incomplete files.

PERMISSIONS

Microphone (and USB audio when the OS allows), storage for imports and exports, and optional Android notifications if you record while the
app is in the background.

For a fuller guide to the icons and options, open Help in the side menu.
Handwriting notes and sketching app with stylus support

xnotes is a handwriting-first notebook for phones and tablets, built for pen and stylus. Write, sketch and annotate with pressure-sensitive, variable-width ink, and nothing you draw is ever flattened.

Highlights:

* Pressure-sensitive ink: a custom stroke engine turns raw stylus samples into a smooth, variable-width ribbon that swells and tapers with pen pressure, so handwriting and sketches feel natural instead of like a flat marker.
* Live presentation streaming: broadcast your canvas to any web browser on the same network in real time. Turn a tablet into a wireless whiteboard for the room, with nothing to install on the other end.
* Vector PDF, in and out: drop in a PDF as a page background to annotate, then export your notes back to PDF as true vector — ink and text stay crisp at any zoom instead of being flattened to pixels.
* Razor-sharp deep zoom: a background renderer redraws a high-resolution viewport off the main thread, so you can zoom far in and the ink stays sharp rather than turning blocky.
* Real highlighter blending: highlighters are composited live every frame with a true multiply blend, so overlapping strokes deepen like real ink instead of painting over one another.
* Neon pen: a glowing pen with a bright white core and saturated, luminous edges for accents that pop off the page.
* Smart PDF dark mode: invert a PDF page for comfortable night reading while leaving embedded photos and images untouched.
* Nothing is ever flattened: every stroke is stored as editable vector data in the open .xnote format, so you can re-select, move, restyle or erase any mark at any time.
* Stylus-aware by design: pen and finger are handled separately, so you can pan with a finger while you draw with the pen; on devices without a stylus, finger drawing turns on automatically.
* Private and open: open source, no accounts, no telemetry. Files go through Android's Storage Access Framework, so the app needs no broad storage permission (network access exists only for the optional presentation server).

Also includes:

* Shapes, text boxes and image insertion
* Stroke and object erasers, plus box and lasso selection with move and resize
* Multi-page documents with several page sizes
* A backstage file area: recent notes, a built-in folder explorer and quick sharing
* A side panel with page thumbnails, contents and bookmarks
* Undo and redo
* Pinch to zoom and a configurable pen side-button action
* Customisable theme, accent colour and page defaults
Accessibility Button Launcher

Assign one app to the Android accessibility button or shortcut

Accessibility Button Launcher lets you assign one installed app to the Android accessibility button or accessibility shortcut that is already built into Android.

Because it uses the operating system's built-in accessibility trigger, the integration stays simple and low-friction. You use the same system control Android already provides instead of a custom overlay, floating tool, or extra launcher layer.

When the accessibility trigger is used, the app launches only the app you selected. This keeps the experience direct and lightweight while working with the platform behavior that Android already supports. If the saved app is no longer available, the app explains what needs to be fixed instead of failing silently.

What it does:
- Assigns one launchable app to the accessibility button or shortcut
- Leverages Android's built-in accessibility button for a native-feeling integration
- Guides you through the initial setup
- Helps recover when the accessibility service is disabled after an app update
- Includes background-protection guidance for devices that aggressively stop accessibility services

Privacy and permissions:
- No analytics, advertising, or crash reporting
- No cloud sync and no network data collection
- Settings are stored only on your device
- The accessibility service is used only to respond to the accessibility button or shortcut

The app is open source and built for people who want a simple, focused way to launch one app from the system accessibility trigger.
Proxy Exit

Use your phone's mobile connection as a proxy for desktop browsers.

Proxy Exit is NOT a way to set up a proxy on your phone. It is a part of a setup to route your desktop browser's internet traffic through your phone's mobile data connection.

Setup requires three components: a Proxy Server, this app, and a configured browser.

● Start the Proxy Server

Run the following Docker command on a machine accessible from the internet:

docker run -d -p 8888:8888 -p 9999:9999 -e AUTH_CODE=XXX registry.gitlab.com/viru7/proxy:latest

Port 8888 — browser HTTP proxy connections
Port 9999 — mobile app connections
XXX — your chosen password

If the server is running on a home machine, ensure port 9999 is forwarded to it.

● Configure the app

Enter the server's IP address, port (9999), and your password, then tap Start.

Keep the app running in the foreground while in use. If the connection to the server drops, the app will automatically retry every minute.

● Configure your browser

Set the browser's HTTP and HTTPS proxy to the server's IP address and port (8888).

How it works:

1. The app connects to the Proxy Server, making the phone available as a proxy exit node.
2. When the browser needs to make an HTTP request, it sends it to the Proxy Server.
3. The Proxy Server forwards the request to the phone over the established connection.
4. The phone fetches the content via mobile data and returns it through the server to the browser.

For more details see: https://gitlab.com/viru7/proxy
Verify calls from family, colleagues, sources against deepfake impersonation.

When someone who sounds like your mother calls in a panic asking for bail money, Signet lets you verify it's actually her.

Each paired contact generates a rotating 4-word phrase that only the real person's phone can produce. You ask her to read her phrase aloud; you type what you hear. Green banner: verified. Red banner: something's wrong — hang up and call her back on a number you already trust.

Signet works over any channel. Voice calls, video calls, text, email, in person. The only requirement is that the two of you paired once, in person or over a trusted channel, before the crisis.

Built for a world where AI voice cloning is commodity. Defends against:

* Real-time voice and video deepfakes
* Pre-recorded deepfake voicemails
* Vishing using scraped biographical knowledge
* Compromised messaging accounts where the attacker has chat history but not the paired device
* SIM swaps
* Reflection attacks: the rotating code is direction-aware, so an attacker echoing your own phrase back at you fails

Core properties:

* No server. No cloud. No account. No INTERNET permission.
* No telemetry. No analytics. No ads.
* Hardware-backed secrets via Android Keystore, StrongBox when available.
* Offline-first; airplane mode does not affect any flow.
* RFC-validated crypto (X25519, HKDF-SHA-256, AES-256-GCM, BIP-39).
* Open source, AGPL-3.0.

v0.3 includes in-person pairing, long-distance pairing, lost-phone recovery via paper or file, multi-relationship storage, in-person rekey, bulk backup (every paired relationship in one encrypted file with a single 8-word unlock), a printable challenge-response grid for when the other side can't reach their phone, liveness prompts for video calls, and screenshot blocking on sensitive screens.

Not included: duress codes (gated on an abuse-analysis pass), account recovery (there is no account), cloud backup (out of scope forever).
Pantry is a companion app for the Nextcloud Pantry server app. It lets you and your household members collaborate on shared checklists, a photo board, and a notes wall — all stored on your own Nextcloud server.

* Checklists
Create shopping lists and to-do lists with categories, quantities, recurring items, and images. Drag to reorder, sort by name or date, and check items off as you go.

* Photo Board
Upload and organize photos into folders. Add captions, drag to reorder, and browse everything in a clean grid view.

* Notes Wall
Keep shared notes with your household. Color-code them, write in markdown, and pin the important stuff where everyone can see it.

* Your data, your server
Pantry connects directly to your Nextcloud instance. No accounts to create, no cloud services in between. Your data never leaves your server.

* Features
- Shared checklists with categories, quantities, and recurrence
- Photo board with folders, captions, and multi-upload
- Color-coded notes wall
- Drag-and-drop reordering everywhere
- Multi-select for bulk actions
- Offline caching for fast loading
- Material Design 3 with dark mode support
- Secure login flow authentication

* Requires a Nextcloud server with the Pantry app installed.
Quire is a native Android EPUB reader for people who self-host
calibre-web.

It browses your library over OPDS, downloads books on demand, renders
them with Readium, and syncs reading progress (and later bookmarks) to
a small companion server you run yourself (Quire Server, included).

Features:
- OPDS catalog browsing and search
- EPUB reading with Readium (font, theme, line-height controls)
- Reading progress sync across devices via your own Postgres
- Multi-user from day one
- One credential: your existing calibre-web account

Privacy:
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no third-party SDKs
- Network calls go to your calibre-web and your sync server only
- Credentials stored in Android Keystore

Source code, server, and documentation:
https://github.com/vitofico/quire

Optional AI features (off by default): when your Quire Server administrator
configures an AI endpoint (such as a self-hosted Ollama or a third-party
provider) and you opt in from Settings, Quire shows generated book
insights — author, summary, series, themes, craft notes, comparative
anchors, and book-club style discussion prompts — grounded with
citations from Wikipedia and OpenLibrary. A separate Library Insights
screen builds a personal reader profile from your finished books and
suggests further reads (both from your own library and via OpenLibrary
discovery). No AI request leaves your network until you explicitly opt
in, and a single tap in Settings deletes the cached profile.
Subtitle Blocker

Overlay to mask hard-coded subtitles on videos and social media.

This super-niche application was developed purely to deal with a strong dislike of the fast-moving, distracting subtitles that are hard-coded into many social media videos and cannot be turned off.

When enabled, the overlay can either be docked as a small unobtrusive tab on the side of the screen, or expanded into a resizable, moveable rectangle which can be dragged to cover the area displaying subtitles. Colours, opacity, which edge the tab pins to, and symmetric (centre-anchored) resize are all configurable.

Basic operation should be completely obvious:

• Tap the chevrons » in the middle of the overlay to collapse it to a side tab.
• Tap the tab to expand it again.
• Drag any corner to resize.
• Drag anywhere else to move.
• Triple-tap the overlay to open Settings.

You can add the "Sub Blocker" tile to your Android Quick Settings panel (swipe down, tap the edit pencil, drag the tile into your active tiles) to quickly toggle the overlay on and off without opening the app.

Feedback and feature requests are welcome.
